Oh really?! That’d be amazing! I haven’t received any other updates tho? Like no SA, DM or AIP; but I’ll take it positively thanks!
What you received is called Pre-arrival Services Letter. Some people receive it but most don’t. It’s just a letter informing you what services are available if and when you get your eligibility passed (not 100% sure) and it has no bearing in your application progress or timeline. So you still have to wait for your AIP, SA, DM and Landing Interview Invitation. Sorry

All is good!! I appreciate it! Thank you!

So between Feb 27 and Mar 26:
  • Mondays - 22* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 22, 14 had a transitional update(s); 3 had AIPs; 3 had SAs; 0 DMs; and 4 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Tuesdays - 15* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 15, 9 had a transitional update(s); 1 had AIPs; 4 had SAs; 6 DMs; and 2 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Wednesdays - 17* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 17, 7 had a transitional update(s); 4 had AIPs; 3 had SAs; 2 DMs; and 3 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Thursdays - 16* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 16, 11 had a transitional update(s); 5 had AIPs; 0 had SAs; 3 DMs; and 0 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Fridays - 26* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 26, 13 had a transitional update(s); 6 had AIPs; 9 had SAs; 4 DMs; and 2 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Saturdays - 8* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 8, 8 had a transitional update(s); 2 had AIPs; 1 had SAs; 0 DMs; and 0 Landing Interview Invitations.
  • Sundays - 4* applicants had some sort of update(s). Within the 4, 3 had a transitional update(s); 0 had AIPs; 1 had SAs; 1 DMs; and 0 Landing Interview Invitations.
Based on the numbers above:
  • Updates in General - we tend to have the most number of them on Fridays (26), followed by Mondays (22), Wednesdays (17), Thursdays (16), Tuesdays (15), Saturdays (8), and the least on Sundays (4).
  • Transitional Updates - we had the most number on Mondays (14), followed by Fridays (13), Thursday (11), Tuesdays (9), Saturdays (8 o_O), Wednesdays (7), and the least on Sundays (3).
  • AIPs - we had the most number on Fridays (6), followed by Thursdays (5), Wednesdays (4), Mondays (3), Saturdays (2), Tuesdays (1), and no AIPs on Sundays.
  • SAs, we had the most number on Fridays (9), followed by Tuesdays (4), Mondays and Wednesdays (3 respectively), Saturdays and Sundays (1 respectively), and no SAs on Thursday.
  • DMs, we had the most on Tuesdays (6), followed by Fridays (4), Thursdays (3), Wednesdays (2), Sundays (1), and no DMs on Mondays and Saturdays.
  • Landing Interview Invitations - we had the most number of them on Mondays (4), followed by Wednesdays (3), Tuesdays and Fridays (2 respectively), and none on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
So Friday is our winner in terms of getting updates in general, AIPs, SAs and a runner-up for transitional updates and DMs. So if you are waiting for your AIP, SA and DM, you will be most likely to get it tomorrow or next Friday ;)

If you are waiting for your Landing Interview invitation, it will be most likely on Monday or Wednesday, and maybe on Tuesday or Friday (tomorrow).

And for those who are still waiting for their transitional updates, it will be most likely on Monday or Friday (tomorrow).

So have fun with the numbers and good luck, and let's hope lots of people get their AIPs, SAs, DMs and their Interview Invitations tomorrow!! :p

* some applicants had multiple updates in a single day so the number of updates per day versus the number of applicants who had updates per day won't be equal.
I swear there should be a 'love' button because a 'like' button does not do justice to all that you do @barsarah !! Are you for real?!?!

Thank you so much for EVERYTHING you do!!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but did you have a valid eTA/TRV/study/work permit when you submitted your OWP application? If not then you were out-of-status and your application for an OWP could've been denied and you should be hearing from them real soon. Otherwise, you better contact the Call Centre and figure out. Good luck!
No I am in india and my wife is in canada so I applied spouse OWP from India She’s still studyinh and have a valid study permit

I see...!

I should’ve picked it up when you said SOWP. You... my friend... are not only in a wrong thread but also in a completely irrelevant group. This is an Inland September Spousal Sponsorship group within a Family Class Sponsorship thread, which means: This group is for people who are being sponsored by their Canadian and/or Canadian Permanent Resident Spouses to become a Permanent Resident of Canada.

Unlike us, your SOWP (Spousal Open Work Permit) is for the spouses of international students who want to live and work in Canada while their spouses are studying in Canada. So post your question in the right group and thread on https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/forums/international-students.2/ because we have no idea on how CIC/IRCC works in your situation. Sorry

You confused us for a bit there but no worries... Good luck!

Hi guys,

Since the last week that I have received the APR email, my status in ecas and mycic has not changed yet and still it shows "in process". Is that normal?

Thanks

Hi guys,

I applied for my husband's PR inland, and the following took place, wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and can advise on the process and timeline:

- Application accepted in Sept, 2018.

- Requested Medical exam - completed. Not sure exactly when, but sometime between Sept and Jan.

- Jan, received request for fingerprint - completed within same month and waited to hear something.

- About two weeks ago, received a call from CIC agent in Mississauga saying that they are waiting on my husband's fingerprints from RCMP and until then could not make a decision on my eligibility. Question one: Why would his fingerprint issue have any affect on my eligibility? Are they trying to make a decision on my eligibility and his at the same time?
- We called the fingerprint center, emailed the receipt from them to the CIC agent, and center said to call RCMP and so did CIC, since center had forwarded the application to RCMP. CIC agent told me that the next step was that if I was eligible after they receive his fingerprints, they would send our application to the Etobicoke office for PR review/interview at which point we would either get one or not. We called RCMP and were told that they had received it the 22nd of Jan and sent it CIC 23rd so it may be lost in the mail or in their office somewhere. We notified CIC of the same. Have not heard back from them at all but received a decision on my eligibility (positive) and nothing more since then.

So, my question is, did anyone have a similar issue where a document got lost, if so, did they request for another one to be done, or did they waste time looking for it? And how long did this part take if it was lost?

My other question is, if they approved me and are waiting to approve him (I'm guessing still waiting on someone to find his fingerprint application report), once they approve him, are we then going to be waiting on an interview? If so, does everyone go through the interview process or may the Etobicoke office send an approval of PR?

We have been in this rut for so long! Husband came to Canada as a visitor from USA in Feb 2018, he applied in May and it got bounced back for missing something, then he submitted it again in June/July, it got bounced back again for missing something new, so I finally got involved to ensure nothing was missed and it was accepted Sept. So, even though since Sept, hearing a decision made on my application and being told that the next step would be interview sounds very short and appealing, it's been a long time, and we haven't visited our in-laws since the move. He hasn't received work authorization despite our application for it either!

So far, I'm getting the impression that until we either provide another fingerprint or are told they found it, we are adding this wait time to another 10 weeks to get an interview from date of dm on both my eligibility and his.

Any advice would be helpful!

UPDATE: received letter saying his eligibility was cleared as well, but sent generic email which stated that they would now examine medical exam and fingerprints if not done so already, so not sure what this means considering the phone conversation we had was that they could not act on our case without his fingerprints, but now they seem to be making eligibility determinations without any notice that fingerprints have been found to move forward with the case.

Experience on the Landing:

My scheduled time was at 1pm.

We took an uber to etobicoke coz were not sure where to park the car, we arrived there at 11:30. Went inside got the number D291, on the screen was D290 we were about to sit but our number already on the screen so we just went right away on the lane 4. The lady was nice just ask when was the last time i came in.... did i commit any crime in and out of the country... if i have any dependent... ask our ID both, then she just print the COPR, sign and say congratulation. More and less around 5-10mins. Next we went to the other room for SIN another 10mins and were done.

At 12 were on the way home...

P.S now that im done next is my wife waiting to take exam for citizenship.

Goodluck everyone and all the best...
