ITA: Dec 19, 2018 (my score: 483), CEC, inland.
AOR: Jan 9, 2019

Feb 19, 2019: Request Letter-Original IELTS test results (photocopies are not acceptable).

This is ridiculous. I didn't expect to be asked for the IELTS test form AGAIN after 40 days of waiting! The CIC official is either blind or just unintelligent (i assume most of them are). I uploaded the original copy when AOR it is one of the most important document. I didn't appreciate how com that official cannot accept it.

CIC is trash.

Sorry to hear that.
I took the celpip so I actually didn't have to upload my results since the celpip folks send the results to cic directly.

Hello experts!

I have a question
I submitted my CEC inland application on January 3, 2019 and got AOR the same day.

Now my dilemma is that my passport is expiring December 2019.
What are the chances that they can reject my application because my passport is expiring soon?

I can apply for a new passport but will I be able to upload the new document now that my application is already submitted? Will that increase the processing time.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would truly appreciate it.
Thank you!
I guess it depends on how long they take to process your application. I applied for PR August 2017 and my passport was set to expire in May 2018 (9 months). However, my application was approved in November 2017 and I landed in December 2017. So assuming the same 3-month timeline until your application is approved, you should be fine.

Finally, I passed the medical exams!
Background check in progress now :)

AOR: Jan 2, 2019
Medicals Passed: Feb 15, 2017
Hi, just wanted to let you know that I've been in IP2 since Feb 15, and that I just had a ghost update on Feb 21. Things are progressing quite fast in my opinion.

Anyone else has any updates?
Cheers!

There may have been something wrong with your IELTS document, check the requirements again fully and scan and upload it once more. You should be glad that they are opening and reviewing your application, there’s no need to be so rude.

Friends,

I am in a very different situation. I need guidance and direction for the case below

I am in Toronto on closed WP and WP expiring on 24-Mar-2019, below are the details:
One Primary applicant and two dependents

ITA - 12-Dec
AOR - 01-Jan
MEP - 09-Jan
ADR - 09-Jan for RCMP Canada PCC
ADR Submited on 24-Jan
And now simply waiting for PPR

But there is a twist, my employer wants me in India by 15-Mar for urgent project work and not willing to extend WP for now

I am thinking of below options

A. Go back home and update address change to CIC and wait for PPR there in India
B. Apply BOWP and resign here in Canada

But I am not sure of the implication or consequences of both options. Kindly advice so that there is a win-win situation for me.

Thanks

Hi,
This is my status:
I received my AOR on Jan 4 2019.

I received a letter from CIC ob Feb 13 2019, requesting me to provide complete and submit Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature.

I submitted the filled in form on Feb 16.

I have passed medical.

Is it normal to receive such request from CIC ?

I’m just unsure if I should apply for a new passport right now or wait a bit longer
I read somewhere that they need 12 month validity on the passport if they send PPR

If you're eligible for renewal and it will be done before you receive PPR, then go ahead and do it because you'll have to renew it anyway. I'm not sure about the 12-month validity thing because as I mentioned I had only 9 months left on my passport when I submitted my complete application for PR (after receiving ITA in July). All the Best...
