Well, when I called CIC, the agent told me that my eligibility is met and criminality and security is yet to start.

But, there are so many peple who says that criminality and eligibility are done simultaneously.
Thats what i am hearing too. Ive also heard that by now (6 months into the application) Eligibility decision should already be made. Either as pass or recommended pass. And if there is some issue it would go into review required. However, the agent has not let me know that it is under review required when I specifically asked. Just told me that eligibility review is an on going process and can only be passed once security and criminality are both passed. My Criminality is on going and security is yet to start. So he said it might still take weeks or a month. My AOR is August 3rd, so way over the 6 month mark now. I had also submitted a study permit extension on August 28th (almost 6 months on that too), no decision on that either. Hoping the PR makes some progress.

Thank you!

Congratulations!!
Just for your peace of mind, the status on the portal will change only after the COPR is issued, which is after you submit the passports etc.
So there is still time for you to see the update on the portal :) Don't worry about it :)
I feel like they are going to leave it just like that for ever. When i got PPR i thought now everything is over and i can sleep. But new issues with getting anexure b for my wife and kid bcz i cant submit their pasprt here in canada as they are in india. The reply from CIC says they will respond in 25 days. I dont understand what does that mean.

Hi all,

I have one biggest doubt. I got my ppr but there is no spouse name in it.

Right now i am living in Canada and my wife is in India.

They have given to instructions to submit both in Canada and India. But the letter has only my name and uci number in it.

is there a problem to download this letter and submit my spouse passport through VFS or she will be getting her own ppr?

I am really confused please help me.

Thanks in advance
Hey bud i am in same situation as you are. Hit me up +1587-501-9127. I dont think thats the right way to do it. She wont get a seperate letter. give me a call we can talk about it.

Atleast your application is under review. According to my GCMS notes, my eligibility check was done on 26th Sept and after that, there is no progress on my application.

Hi guys,

Just received an ADR for
1. Updated proof of funds
2. Additional family Information (IMM 5406).

I had submitted all the documents in the prescribed format. I am not sure why this is being asked again? Anyone with similar issue?
@gokul.chandran Hi brother what is the update of your application??? Did you received PPR or still waiting??
What was the issue with your POF, why they asked update pof all on a sudden??

Initial assessment of eligibility is usually made by a Case Processing Agent or a Case Analyst within 1.5-2 months and result is either "met", "recommended pass" (met and recommended pass are the same and equally positive), "review required", or "not met" (no "passed" at this stage). After background check (criminality and security) are passed, the visa officer will review and make the final decision on whether to approve an application. Understanding this process is important because it means one should order GCMS around 2.5-3 months after AOR to find out if there's anything wrong with his or her application in order to actively take measures.

Now, in my experience and and others I've observed, if the initial assessment of eligibility is positive (met or recommended pass), usually the agents will happily tell you so. Otherwise, they will resort to generic "in process", "under review" to cut you off from further questioning.

Note I'm not telling you should be worry. Answers depend on each agent and their different moods. But I suggest you order GCMS or CBSA Notes now. It's the only way to truly understand what's going on. As we are near or already over 6-month mark, I advise CBSA. Let's hope you get your PPR before receiving the notes.

Hello,
NO update on my application since submission of ADR. Still waiting......

With regards to POF, I had submitted my FD certificate along with the letter from the Bank Manager in Aug. 2018 (AOR: 28 Aug 2018). The FD, however, matured in Sept. 2018 and I renewed it. Looks like IRCC wanted to know whether I still had the amount available with me...

What's your status? Waiting for the golden mail?

I am a PNP applicant. mine is almost the same as you, just bit different issue. I got GCMS note a few days back and i found out eligibility review required because of POF. I have a personal loan outstanding that i included with POF. agent deduct that money from POF and calculate that's how my POF was below the required. I put that deficient amount of money then made a gift deed, raise a CSE uploaded updated Bank statement, gift deed and an LOE. since then nothing heard from them. 8 days to go to complete six months. Frustrating brother..they are crazy people ...

Thank you! This is really a time consuming process.. Our life, our career, our child... all have been affected.
Since we made the decision to move Canada, our life goal turned to a different path. everything has been changing day by day. every day we are thinking about Canada, personal life is hampered, even cannot take any decision. don't know when this all frustrations move away....

When my husband and I signed up for this thing, we could have not imagined the journey to be this hectic, slowly killing us mentally. Up to a point when I do not know why I applied in the first place.

Same here, my wife encouraged me to apply as her close friends living in Canada, they were also telling her to apply Canada by EE. Now after almost 1-year ordeal we finished submitting our application in August 2018. But what happened then is totally history.........i am so much frustrated, anger and feeling broken. everybody in my office, relative are kept asking when will move to Canada.............I just can't answer them:( This is now insulting for me.
