Yup, pretty much. That's why the "Interest to sponsor form" was opened for a limited time only. Once you get confirmation number, you are sure to get invitation to apply provided that you meet LICO and other sponsorship requirements (i.e not being in jail while you are trying to sponsor, no defaults on immigration loans etc.).

I am not sure that confirmation number means your invitation is guaranteed. I think they selected more than available limit to weed out duplicates and non confirming applications and some extra also and will invite the 1st 20000 applicants.

Yes i think so! They says to the cic website they accept 27000 fcfs .. but they accept 20000 complete package only ?

Yes, I believe so. The extra 7,000 is to put on waiting list to fill any potential slots available from the 20,000 quota, due to the deletion of duplicates and unqualified EOIs from the first 20,000 submissions. And in theory, if the first 20,000 were all qualified, then the remaining 7,000 will not be selected, and I don't think they will be carried over to the next year.

Hello Everyone. I sent my sponsorship papers back in May'18 and recently received an email notifying application has been sent to nearest CIC office for next steps. While I await the medical for my parents, we just learnt my mother has breast cancer that has spread to her bones. She's undergoing treatment now but whatever damage has been done will stay.
Would anyone be able to advise what are my options now? Is my mother going to get rejected outright or would there be a consideration? Could my father make it through the application at least? Thanks in advance for your help.

I am sorry for the tough situation you are in. As for your question, it is unfortunate that it seemed that your parents' application will be denied for the medical issue your mother has, and if any one of your parents should fail the medical exam, then the whole application will be denied.

Hi Yulia,

Please update my spreadsheet line 209. Today E-cas shows decision made for my parents Permanent Residence Application Status and MyCic is showing: Final decision Your application was approved. The LVO sent us an email to pick up my parents passports at the Bogota Embassy.

I've got letter of acceptance to sponsor my parents on Dec/6/18. I mean, we met all the requirements submited for their application.

The letter says that they are approved and they are sending all documentation to Mexico, as it is the closest one to my country of birth (Honduras).... what is the next step after this? I assume I have to get another letter for requesting medical exams, police reports, etc. or should I contact them to follow up.... or am I just getting to anxious?
It is just that, their letter didn't specified anything else other than being a notification letter only.

So it would be almost 7 weeks after that last letter. I hope the time is still ok.... where can I find that spreadsheet mentioned above?

Ok, I found the spreadsheet, and funny that this was the spreadsheet my sister was filling out too lol.... So I think this last step takes an average of 2 months, based on the people that is left shown on the spreadsheet.

I noticed that the people accepted (on green) had a very quick response for the medical and police reports. But we had a delayed in a document, and we submitted it later. So I think we are mixed with the this year program, delaying the timing of response.... my hypothesis

I am waiting more than 4 months after DM for sponsor person on Sep. 7 2018, they transfer to Ankara on September and it's in Process since September 18, 2018, but no news or update!

Also, I tried 3 times to update the representative form via webform, but I didn't received any confirmation email, just says, it's successfully submit and we answer within 28 days, but nothing happened, I really don't know what to do?

any suggestion? should I call Ankara? or email?
