Hello, I have a dumb question regarding my gcms notes. In the History section, that has subheadings such as Application Status:1, Application Status:2, Application Status: 3...................is this arranged from the latest report to the earliest report? For example, Application Status: 23 will be the latest update while Application 1 will be the oldest update? There are no dates on this section of the notes, so I am finding hard to comprehend.
its the opposite, the latest update on your application will be the first one and the last status, for example status 23 ,will be the the status when someone touched your file for the very first time.

Question, haven't we waited for 7.5 months already :p (I know this was a bummer, sorry)

Well that is true in some cases and not in some. We aren't even sure if our security has progressed or started, for that matter.

Like @gau55555 our applications might also take no time and there are a few who have waited for a little over an year.

So, short answer to your question is...let's prepare for the worst and be ready for the best.
With a little smile and worry expression on my face, I really feel that though security may take some time from 7 days to 2-3 Months, however, we are not told about the exact status of this by the Call center agents. GCMS can be more reliable, but sometimes this info is redacted from that as well. What I believe and hope that you guys have waited enough for anything to be completed/started (until its SS).... So just keep nudging them by CSEs and call . @Ronja5200 I still feel that the hold up notes are a good sign and the first reason for not releasing is still valid. Hope you all get it soon. GodSpeed.

Yesterday we managed to speak to an agent. She is by far the rudest we have encounetered so far. This is only the 3rd time we were calling (in 7.5 months) and yet she said - "Calling us regularly won't make anything happen!"

She kept saying that she can't see anything other than what we see on the account. It was my girl friend who was on the call and not me. Otherwise it would have gone different.

I wonder how come CIC has not trained their Call center agents to treat their Clients in a more respectful way!

You're super welcome guys. I'm always scouting the forum and asking people questions looking for ways to help everyone. I'm really glad this worked.
What's your AOR?
There's a possibility that you won't get any response if you're within the 6 months timeline. But if you've passed the 6 months timeline, send CIO and email with something along the lines of "Approved Application beyond 6 months processing timeline awaiting PPR"
Hi tobs, my application was approved on the 5th of Jan and did not receive my PPR yet, my AOR is 22nd of April 2018, do you think I should send an email, because I have job offer and they are waiting from to start working
can you write down CIO email please? thanks in advance

The eligibility takes place in 2 stages. First an assistant or analyst will review your application and make a recommendation. Then the officer will review it and make a final decision. Most applications are delayed because no one worked on it.
Precisely, no one working on cases is the issue. There definitely are certain monitoring issues or could even be certain prioritization which we are not aware of causing the delay. :rolleyes:Less likely but I just hope that they don't completely forget a file.
