@ tobs
my aor is of 28th july 2018,now in 6th month i got information by calling cic that my elieligibilty is in review required, so their are two queries regarding this. First thing is whether to wait now for cic reply or i ordered gcms and as per review required, i give information through web form without asking by cic agent. Second query is, how much time they will take to clear eligibilty after review required. What is best option after wewget information of eligibility review required ?

Any news of ppr today? Another dull Friday it seems.
Don’t know when wait will end. Tired of waiting now!
None whatsoever :( Stopped checking immitracker as it's disappointing to see slow movement across - looks like the process may have (in)formally stretched to ten months as advised to some candidates by call center agents ('Check back in April' said they) when asked for an update on their applications. I wish they would formally communicate this as the new processing timeline at least, so that stupid 6 month progress bar stops staring us in the face every time we log into our account!

Are you guys awake or you have slept and woken up?
Tobs, do people waiting for PPR sleep ? Interesting thought by the way.... We dont sleep, I was in downtown Toronto last night. Waiting for my better half to arrive as we had to board different flights due this delay of CIC in issuing PPRs.

Hey guys, so I've started getting inquiries as to how to pay RPRF upfront by those who have been waiting for 6 months without any request (mostly people still in IP1).

I'm posting this conversation without the names just incase there's someone else wanting to ask the same thing. (I prefer to answer questions out here so others can also benefit).
Question: Dear Tob,

I am an June 2018 AOR PNP -Outland - EE Based-Applicant,

I did not paid RFRF during application submission,
My current status is IP1 , I think, Medical Passed on July 3rd.

Review of eligibility - We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Kindly guide me to , how to pay RFRF, till date I did not receive the request to pay for it.

Regards,

Answer:
Hi,
Do you know the exact status of your eligibility either from GCMS notes or by calling an officer?
Because I'll recommend that you pay the RPRF fee upfront only after you've confirmed that your eligibility is Met or Recommended Passed. GCMS takes too long, so I'll suggest you call on Monday to ask if your eligibility is Met/recommended passed or review required. If it's review required try asking the agent what it's review required for. (Let's see if they'll answer you with details).
The response you get on Monday will determine if we should go ahead with paying RPRF upfront.

It's so strange to see our number of days about to reach 250 days mark. I never ever imagined wait will be so long. I was of the opinion that i would have to wait maximum 3-4 months but it's almost double time and still no response.

God, when you will shower rain for june applicants. I am asking God as i dont have any hopes from officers.
Agreed! God seems to be the only recourse as the timelines are currently inexplicable - so stretched for June cases, yet CIC persists with its '80% applications are approved in 6 months' spiel!

I didn't know you were an inland applicant. I hope seeing your better half made you happy.

That is a twitter handle run by an ircc employee like the ircc call center agents who are also employees. Besides I don't think it says anything about how the gcms notes are processed. 'No influence of processing' could mean no influence on the outcome of the application, like approval or denial.
I love the way you see things @navinball .... Give a different dimension all the time... Hope to catch up with you soon... Pray for our PPRs.

@Nishika22 I had sent an email on 20th December and again couple of days back ... Today, I Got a reply only for the email I sent couple of days back .. The reply stated
Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.

Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum.
As @richa1987 mentions, she got the same response! God alone knows what they mean by it. To my mind, the agents are simply refreshing their template and giving all candidates the impression that files are being worked upon - though I suspect we are all victims of systemic apathy. Our files have been lying untouched for a few months now (my GCMS notes generated with an effective date of 27Nov18 showed that my file has not been touched since 26 Oct when my criminality was passed). But the response I received from CPC-CDT-Ottawa said 'We are awaiting the results of internal processing before finalizing your application' I mean, with my eligibility at MET since 24Jul18 and no updates since, plus security not started as on date (spoke to an agent day before and she said categorically it hadn't), what are these checks they are currently running? So please believe me, this response is just a holding reply. I'd suggest you order GCMS notes though, just to be extra sure, but nothing so far suggests an issue with your case - it's all ours where time is getting stretched into infinity and beyond :p

This is the second unfruitful week for us late october 2018 IP2. While we were nearing the year end few days back, @cansha had pointed out 19th Jan as a more reasonable date to expect some good news. I wonder if he had a logic or his gut feeling behind this. But, let's hope something happens in the next week and things start moving again.

Also, I personally feel the "internal processing" or "waiting for an internal document" is baloney...if it's not, how did the Security Start delay happen only to those candidates with similar timeline?

There is some problem and they are trying to keep our hopes alive... :p
Completely agreed. Files with late Oct IP2 are all getting delayed. It is not a specific issue with our files but a general issue with the whole batch being processed on those dates. ‘Awaiting results of internal processing / waiting for results of additional verifications’ are all phrases for buying time. I’m not buying their sorry excuses :p Anyways, even if processing timelines are getting delayed, we deserve to know what is happening in the meantime. Planning to order my next set of GCMS notes on 24Jan19.

And what I believe that its not the delay which is causing these particular files to be approved/complete but its apparent that these files are not even been touched and eating dust ever since they were stacked against the IP2 status . To add to the nuances, the ottawa office has shifted its working style (maybe) as there are not batch PPRs since Third week of December. They should at least open a file (or the whole stack) to see what the hell is NOT going on. We need a miracle like the approved guys, who got a work around through NDVO and got their way out. Something of that sorts might help us .
