Hello @Manpreetkmannu
Yes you can send scanned copies of the letters, that's what I did personally with my lawyer and CIC accepeted those letters I guess since I got AOR, if anything CIC would ask for the originals later in the process if they needed to. Just make sure those letters are dated, signed and have the contact information of the senders: full address, phone number, email..

I would also advice you to triple check your file before sending it, check all the documents and forms so you won't have to worry about any mistakes done after you send the file.

I wish you the best of luck :)
Thank you for your reply.
And i have another question.
Like there are forms which can be validated and generate barcode and then there are forms that can’t be validated (like family information form).
So my question is do we have to put all the pages of the forms in the file or only the barcode pages needs to be put in the file.

We're Nov 22nd also also still waiting for AOR. We made a mistake on a form though so its possible our app is in the queue for return, may not give you an accurate picture of how processing is going...
I sent my application without police certificate and they still started processing it but I was wondering if they are going to ask me for it or just gonna refuse the pr ? I was able to link both the PR and work permit.
AOR - Dec 7
They WON'T refuse your application because you didn't send them a police certificate.
The only risk was them returning your application as incomplete, but since you got your AOR you passed that and you were lucky :)
CIC will ask for it later in the processing. I advice you to order that police certificate if you don't have it so when CIC requests it you would send it right away with no delays unless that police certificate takes less than a month to get.
From which country are you going to order that police certificate and how long does it take for you to get it?

You need to send all the pages of the forms for sure.

I already got my police certificate issued in japan. I got it right after I sent my application. What I’m worried is that I heard the immigration is asking for the police certificate which is issued no older than 3 months ?? I’m so not sure how long I can use mine. It’s valid for 1 year but I want to know what the immigration is asking for. If I have to send it in 3 months since it’s issued then I have to send it by the end of this month...

How did you get a Japanese police certificate without proof of why you need it, like a letter from IRCC?

I sent my police certificates and they were almost 6 months old.
There's no where on CIC's site saying that police certificates should be 3 months old when you send them for spousal/common law sponsorships.
And yes, all police certificates should be good up to one year that's what my lawyer noted to me concerning the police certificates I sent and he said that I might be asked for new police certificates when they reach the
one year mark.
So, If they requested it lets say next month and you sent it, your police certificate should be good till the fall of 2019 which would be then one year old.
So I think you should be fine even if yours exceedes the 3 months and you can call CIC and check with them too.

Hmm I just needed to show them my marriage certificate and say I am needing it for immigration at the Japanese consulate since it takes 2-3 months for us to get it I had to apply a long before.

Thanks for your information. I couldn’t find any information about that on CIC either so I really appreciate telling me your example. If it should be less than 3 months it’s really hard. But I will make sure calling them tomorrow morning. Thanks a lot !!

Hi,
We are also inland November applicants.
Here's our timeline:
Application mailed: 31 Oct 2018
Application received: 2 Nov
AOR: 22 Nov
Application linked: 22 Nov

Still working on my OWP to send, as my visitor extension was denied the same day we mailed it and I wanted to get to Pembina vefobe midnight!

Good luck everyone!
The same happened to me .
My visitor extension was denied because I had applied for a work visa before but then I decided to withdraw but because they request medical exam before I decided to Withdraw, they denied my visitor extension till I have the medical exam done . I did and applied again for extension and restoration of my status .

How is your situation now ? Did you get answers ?
