I think it is best that way, so the OWP can be issued without any restrictions.

After linking the OWP, do you see an application type as Online Application? And the application number starts with W? Odd that the date received was incorrect and it was the date prior to we send the application in. Maybe it’s a human error?

It's always like that. The date is about a week or so prior to when you actually sent it. Online application, starts with W.

You're fine, nothing to worry about.

I have doubts about the Bio-metrics. My Wife is in Canada on Visitor's visa do we have to get Bio-metrics done for her ?
on cic website under the exemptions I see this

Temporary exemption: Applying in Canada

If you are applying for a visa, study or work permit, or permanent residence in Canada – you are exempt until the in-Canada service is established.


so that mean we don't have to do it for now ?

This may be a very dumb question. How did you view your application online? I don't remember creating an online account or anything like that.

There is no dumb question my friend. We are all here to help one another. I filled the ecas form using my UCI and my application popped up.
Google ecas and just fill the form.
