Congrats!
can you please advise how the process is going on now? the applicants do NOt receive PPR? and we don't need to send passports for visas and do landing if we are inland applicants? do you receive invitation for landing interview through email or mail??
Tks!
It seems that most inland applicants do an interview now but I can't confirm if all the inland applicants are going through the same process.

Hello everyone
Logging in after a while
One query if any one can answer.
We are planning to land in February.
Our medicals are expiring in april end.
My wife is 3 months pregnant.
In ontario there is 3 months waiting period for insurance.
Anyone can suggest third party insurance which can cover pregnancy?
I have tried searching regarding that but pregnancy is not covered.
What other options I can explore
Kindly give your suggestions
Tahnk you

You Will!
I'm just extremely curious but was there a reason why you did your medicals 5 months before submitting your application?
lol I understand the curiosity. We initially applied in April but we received a refusal due to some discrepancies in my husband's job experience due to miscommunication between us and our consultant. We reapplied in July.

Hi Dishant,

Researching on something similar for my sister. They are landing in two weeks.

There is no private insurance which covers pregnancy related costs. There is only one "Emergency pregnancy insurance" valid only for certain situations by Manulife (https://arbetovinsurance.com/pregnancy-insurance-for-visitors-to-canada-manulife/). It is better to keep a buffer of around 1000-2000 CAD for normal doctor visits and scans (5th month scan is a must) before OHIP kicks in. This is just a buffer and not the actual costs here. For one of my friends in a similar situation, they spent around 300 cad for doctor visit and scan (7th month scan) but also had to pay around 900 cad for an emergency visit to the hospital. Hope this helps.

Any indications of Security Screening?
Dude, security hasn’t started! Don’t think SS is possible without the process starting in the first place. If at all, the notes serve to confirm that Security has not been touched since I moved to IP2 - before that, they set an extremely optimistic due date of 10th Aug 18 for everything but since then only Criminality has been handled as a next step. Leave alone sending it for security screening, the VO hasn’t given it a thought for better or for worse  Anyways, now waiting for Eligibility to be passed before security starts - as multiple call agents have confirmed that sequence will apply. Hope your GCMS notes and calls have yielded nothing worrying either! :)

40-45 minutes, it might take you aafew tries to get in the que itself. There is no offence calling NDVO...however, you might not get any information that way. You mat try calling NDVO but my suggestion is to call CIC.
Hi...just called CIC and agent said my file has been approved. What should be my next step? Should I mail NDVO now? If yes, please guide regarding content of mail?

Another dead day!!
They should be still in Vacation mode.. I spoke to one of the agent to reconfirm my status as I sent email on 19th December, he said it was vacation time, so no one would have seen it and I should be getting an answer by this week since my case has been approved a month ago and I have already crossed 6 months processing time. But looks like the officers are already in December end 2019 mode.

I am sorry "la belle dame sans merci" :p

You are the only one from the ark (ferry) with latest GCMS notes and I am sure you understand my hunger for any...any bit information that could indicate possible date of our file movement...

It feels like there was a raffle and applications were picked at random, to be processed at a snails pace.

Sometimes I feel they might have felt that our files were too simple to be true so they wanted to double check...

I don't know what stupid thoughts are gripping my mind, right now.
