Expect PPR
Hopefully. A small update. I checked my account again and realized it wasn't quite a ghost update as we know it, but my ADR had changed from NA to we are reviewing. So I called them and the agent told me that, the change happened because my Application was approved today. :);) Someone in July thread had same experience yesterday. Asked her if she can maybe tell me when I should expect to get the PPR and she said that since I am yet to complete 6 months, she didn't know when I will get the golden email. But said I should check my account status and should hear something by March 9 which is my 6 month mark. And my application is at CIO Sydney so I will chill now coz they will send it when they send it. Cheers

Nope. I took a break from the forum entirely by logging out completely. Didn't leave this thread. You people and this thread helps me stay sane and have more patience. Only thread I left was US residents in IP2 that had, let's say the kind of people I don't want around me. That helped. It's always good to throw out toxic people from your life or if not you can leave from there life. Cheers
BTW was your CPC Sydney ? Did you call and figure out what was the issue with your application? I am asking this because my friend has similar situation he is close to six months we ordered GCMS notes and got it last month because of Forex his POF fell below threshold but no one tried to contact him or update him on this. After a month he called again today to figure out whats going on with his file they said they are done with the application but just waiting for the Officer to give a nod. I dont understand what is going on with CPC sydney...!!!

Hey that’s as good as a PPR!!!
Knowing your application is approved.
I got a ghost update on the 28 of November after moving into Ip2 on the 29 of October. How I wish to know that was my application getting approved.
I am happy for you.

Hi @Bandit Queen @tobs

AOR Sept 6th, FSW-O, US based.

I got the same update on December 3rd. My status changed from submitted to profile updated which again changed to submitted when I logged off and on. There was no change to any of the statuses inside the application. About an hour later, I got the same update but this time my ADR status had changed from NA to reviewing.

I called 4 day later and the agent said "everything looked good.....everything passed on the 3rd.... await further instructions by email... application still in CIO, Sydney and could be transferred to Ottawa". I'm not sure if this means "approved" and if I'm in the same boat as you ladies. I had ordered GCMS notes the day before and when I called some weeks before my eligibility was "met", criminality "passed" and security "in progress", application in CIO, Sydney.

What do y'all think?

Hi If your security is in progress and its been more then 1 month then you should order CBSA.
But make sure order it from a proper website not the cheap ones as it can create issues for your profile.
I waited for my application for 4 months and once I ordered CBSA I got my PPR within 2 weeks.

Thank you. But I don't think I need to order CBSA notes. Did you read the body of my text in its entirety? I see you going from thread to thread advocating for CBSA notes even when it does not apply. What's with that?

I was waiting eagerly for my PPR and once I ordered CBSA I got my PPR , so when I see someone waiting for PPR when there security is on going I suggest to order CBSA as it is a official document to know about your security status

Everything passed may mean that it's just a waiting a final review by a case officer to declare your application approved. Next time you call, specifically ask if your application has been approved.

Thought I'd share some testimonies from IRCC agents.
Source: https://ca.indeed.com/cmp/Citizenship-and-Immigration-Canada/reviews?start=20

Processed International Permanent Resident Card (Former Employee) – Sydney, NS – 9
Processed application files and prepared for upper management Immigration Agents. I learned about the complexity of entering Canada and all that was involved to keep our Country safe yet approachable by outside future citizens.
It was a very positive place to work. The hardest part of the job was being able to do 100 files a day that was required of the job.
Pros
Great work, good pay
Cons
some stress in keeping up the daily numbers

Support Service Clerk (CR-03) (Former Employee) – Sydney, NS
Review all applicant applications for Canadian residency, made sure every mandatory document was there and authentic. Entered all client info to database, and added all participants on file to system. Trained in four different lines of business. I've learned a lot about different cultures, the schooling, how to tell if certain documents are authentic or not, the list goes on. I really enjoyed working closely with all of my co-workers and management. The reviewing people from all different cultures and the great positive atmosphere is what I loved most about the job. To be honest, the hardest part was probably the late night commute home during the winter months.

Program Assistant (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON
This was a full time job with The Government of Canada and as one might expect is was very much a government job. It involved the daily checking of emails, restocking of the printer and coffee breaks. However, this job featured a unique work environment of closely linked colleagues with high spirits who helped the work day pass along faster. With friendly and knowledgeable management this job ran as smoothly as possible despite the government's flawed system of visa applications. It allowed wonderful opportunities to expand basic knowledge and taught many applicable skills like database work, facial recognition and the important of details.

Program Assistant (Former Employee) – Ottawa, ON
Very much a high production government job. Repetitive tasks, but odd cases can be pretty interesting. You really have to take your career in your own hands. Managers will not "take you under their wing" or generally help you create a career trajectory. You are in control of your own destiny type of scenario. People are great, fun, engaging and come from a diverse background. Pay and benefits are good.
Pros
People, pay, benefits
Cons
Repetitive workload

Immigration Officer Program and admin assistant (Former Employee) – Halifax Nova Scotia
My position as Immigration officer involved bringing refugees and their families to canada. I would select these refugees from an overseas computer system. It was a very rewarding job. I was usually able to reunite families in Canada with long lost relatives that sometimes were presumed dead.
I would work with these individuals and their families and provide moral and financial support to the families to help them adjust to their new life in Canada.
I left that job to move to Ontario to join my husband who came here to work.
Pros
you felt good going home at the end of the day because you helped someone
Cons
you couldn't help everyone

Support Services Agent (Former Employee) – Mississauga, ON
A typical day at Citizenship and Immigration Canada required the processing of Permanent Residancy applications . I learned a lot about the Canadian policies and procedures while working in the registary team.
My co-workers were fantastic people, and I had a lot of fun working with them. We helped eachother a lot and also learned a lot from one another.
The hardest part of the job was meeting deadlines, and the most enjoyable part was working in the team environment, which in turn made the hard parts much more enjoyable, and easier to overcome.
Pros
learned a lot
Cons
it was just a contract job
Good to see some reviews from ex employees of IRCC. Thanks for sharing
