Got a ghost update almost 2 weeks ago in both CIC account and an email saying "your application is updated".. But nothing changed in the account.. Still in IP1. After that its just silence.

Have you tried calling them. Its possible your file was approved on that day and your email is stuck like smcan's case.

Yeah, I did. Agent told me the same thing they told me 4 months ago. Eligibility is going (it was recommended pass but they consider it ongoing until its marked Met) and Security and Criminal did not begin.

There are few folks in WA Grp that got ghosts but no change whatsoever. One guy in WA Grp claims he got 8 ghosts in last 1-2 months. Apparently ghosts mean nothing for Montreal.

And one guy got straight PPR last week.. No ghost. Only ghost he got was on the day of PPR saying his profile was updated, and that update was the PPR letter in the account.

I think you are talking about @aki_arora .. He has got a lot of ghost updates.

Omg... I too have sent passports and reached the office on Nov 16th, but no response yet :| Called IRCC twice and the agent said they started working on our passports on Nov 20 and no update after that. I am worried now.

Are passports sent to Ottawa or Montreal?
 
Any suggestions on how to proceed? Do i raise web form? I have also e-mailed to the ID they mentioned in the letter but got a auto-reply saying that you will not get any reply , please contact customer care.

Yeah may be raise a webform and also email Ottawa's email ID and say urgent in subject line. They can't sit on someone's passport for a month. That is insane.
