I applied for CEC on August 06 and passed medical on August 29, afterwards no update. I talked with one IRCC representative around 3 weeks back and that time she told me that my eligibility still needs to be reviewed by a VO.

Today I again called them and today's representative told me, my eligibility has been recommended as passed. Now, background check is going on and once the BG is done, then a visa officer will do a final review on my application. However, he told, everything looks good so far. Now, only God knows, when my BG check will be done. Hope everyone here will get it soon.

Hey all,

I have a question... On the GCMS notes, if eligibility is passed, does that generally mean your application will be approved? Obviously, its no guarantee as they still need to run background checks, however if you have no criminal record / security risk, is it a good sign?

Thanks, and congratulations to all who have received PPR! :)
I think it should get approved....

Its a bit frustrating.. couple of my friends got PR within a month.. have no idea how they process the background check.. my TRV has expired last month. Thought, I would get the PR soon, thats ehy did not renew it. But, now it seems, its better to renew the TRV as there is no definite timeline for PR.
