i do not have a proof with me. i would need to ask ielts for a cop which thy may not give to me.. there is one in ther databaase

Ok, then yes, you failed to check the box indicating that you require them to verify test results in their system.
Point #4 on Document Checklist clearly asks for proof of language :)

in my case, i click yes twic,

yes i have a proof
yes, search the database.

shoul i just check it, writ a cover letter and send the same?

I double-checked the application form again. Do not check that box.

You MUST submit proof of language with your application.

The box to verify in their system only applies if you completed a LINC or CLIC course.
So you have to get a copy of your test results (even if it is expired) and submit that with your application.

EDIT:

As per help file:

Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada or Cours de Langue poir Immigrants au Canada (LINC or CLIC):
- If you completed the LINC or CLIC course at CLB 4/NCLC 4 or higher from [...]
... Send a copy of the certificate with your application. If you do not have a copy of your certificate, check the box in question 15a and we will validate that you completed the course in our system. [...]

i want to reprint this page with
yes - have a proof
no- i did not complete linc, clnc
yes - check the database.

they did rceive my ielts in 2013 october as part of pr application.

any thoughts?

You HAVE TO submit copies of your test results with your application.
As per my previous post: The check box for them to verify in their system ONLY APPLIES if you have completed a LINC or CLIC course.

Hello,

I have a quick question.

I've received my AOR, but am wondering if the application gets sent back now, will it be mentioned on ECAS? There was an error in my address on my file which i just fixed in ECAS, so I wouldn't know if they've sent it back as part of the preliminary checks (e.g our fellow member's application that got returned potentially due to the language proof question).

Thanks

guys , please correct me if i am wrong. I have submitted a photo copy of my IELTS which is used along with PR in 2015. Is that enough or an orginal copy from IELTS is needed?

Yes, that's enough. A copy is all that's needed, and test results can be expired as well if they have been used for immigration purposes in the past.

perfect. thanks toby

You're more than welcome. And the source for this information was the official Document Checklist.
Under #4 it states "Photocopy of proof that demonstrates adequate knowledge of English or French. [...]
