Application filled on 2 nd November 2018 waiting hopefully for ITA in the next draw in November 18.
Its expected on either 12th or 14th of November. Based on that, I think he should be in the pool by 11th.
What do you think the tentative CRS cut off would be?

Why is that surprising? Draws happen every 2 weeks roughly, so there should be a draw next week.
You mean 12th or 14 th November?

I'm a novice in terms of cut off predictions. There are better folks over here who predict these scores, as per them the score may not go below 440 any time soon. From a long term POV, I see the number of people trying for PR is increasing at a faster pace. The hard stance of US on work visas these days is also driving many people to try for Canadian PR. Apart from this, as some here already mentioned Canadian politics will also have an influence. As harsh as it may sound to many, the cut off scores may remain above 440 and may even increase next year

Thanks for the reply. On a completely different note, why is is everyone so eager to relocate to Canada as if it is the ultimate heaven on earth? I read some rather depressing views about the life in Canada in 1 forum that has got me worried and wanting to reconsider if the relocation is actually the right thing to do.

Haha, this article is by a travel company. They are pushing their own agenda since there is a major wave of people trying to immigrate, and a lot of Google searches, etc. They want to buy into that SEO traffic.

Everyone has their own priorities and reasons for trying to shift to Canada. Personally I'm not moving there coz its a paradise or something like that, my reasons are two fold, 1. Canada is the only feasible option to move out of India (Recently my US work visa application got rejected) for me 2. Financial aspect. Its a known fact in India that you gotta move out to earn at the next level.
For few others, the reason can be the current policy changes in US regarding foreign work force.
Apart from Canada, the only other option left for a PR (without a job) is Australia as far as i know, correct me if i'm wrong, and they have kept it really tight in the past couple of years (you need to get above 70 on a scale of 100 nowadays, earlier it used to be 65. I feel the same is going to happen soon with Canada as well).
There can be many more reasons specific to each individual for moving to Canada. As long as your personal reasons are met its a wise decision, so the only thing you need to figure out is whether Canada can address your reasons to move.
