It is the standard process time (6 months).

Of course, it can be less/more than that.

It takes up to 5 months from here to PPR although some people get theirs within 2-3 months

Basically, it is a deep security review & investigation of an application (suspicious fraud on documents for instance) & on the applicant himself / herself. CIC can't control it because it depends on how soon the information they are requesting from foreign govt's are provided.
