Hey guys! Our application reached the Beirut Visa Office about a week ago and 2 days ago we received an email stating that we need to submit the following paperwork within 30 DAYS or it will be processed without the paperwork requested which may result in rejection.

Lebanese Police clearance for my mother & I
FBI Clearance for my mother.
Individual extracts for my brother and mother.

My older brother who is a Canadian PR is sponsoring my mother and I am listed as a dependent if anyone is wondering. The problem is that the time to fingerprint, mail them to the FBI, get it processed and have them mail back our results may take over a month. Also, because my brother is currently in Canada we are not able to request an individual extract for him and he will need to do it from the Lebanese embassy which will also take over a month.

How do we go about this? Should we reply to the email stating that the deadline given will not be enough because of the paperwork requested and is not in our hands whatsoever or will we be given the cold shoulder? I hope and believe that they most likely take these things into consideration and will give us an extension but just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience. Also, does anyone have any idea how close we are now to the end of the process?
I would highly recommend you (or your brother, who is the main sponsor) to call IRCC and ask them for the advice. IRCC would probably need your official letter explaining why it would take longer than 30 days but I don't know if IRCC would say yes/no in this case. Just call them to find out

PGP2018 second round applicant.

My mother has Type 2 Diabetes and takes insulin daily. Diabetes is under control. But she has elevated creatinine 3.0 since last one year and we could not find any reason after testing.
She also has High blood pressure which is also under control.

Can anyone please advice whether she will pass medical?

I really want her to be with me here in Canada. What steps we can take to make the medical smooth?

Here's an update for anyone who's application reached Ottawa on 22nd May...just like mine.

Invitation received - 21st March
Application reached Ottawa - 22nd May
AOR - 14th September
Sponsorship Decision and Medical request - 26th October
Other specs - Co-applicant - Yes, SIN# provided.
I am May 22 also but no updates as yet hope today then?

I was finally able to link the application. When I click, it says application in process but when I check using my client id using check application status, it shows, 'Application Received'. Which one is Correct? If they are in processing, does it mean they are checking my eligibility as sponsor?

Application status

That status on ECAS never changes. It's the last status update for my parents and their overall status is 'Decision Made'.

Agree - if you sign-in through CIC you will see the detailed explanation - like "Medical has been Passed", "Background Check is in Process"
