Hi all,
Do we have any lawyer recommendations other than Bellissimo law group?
I have received a Procedural Fairness letter and would like to take legal help for the response. My wife has MS and we are above the medical cost limit by ~CAD 3k.

Please share if you have any experience in dealing with a similar situation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Do you have any update on your application? Can you please share your timeline?

Hey,
I went ahead with Bellissimo. they seemed the one with most experience. we are drafting the response as of now

yes, I have heard about them too. I may or mayn't get a procedural fairness letter for excessive demand under medical inadmissibility. How long after application submission you got the letter?
Good luck with your application

Hi Cvaib, thanks for sharing on the forum. I am in the process of applying and may encounter a situation similar to yours.

- Please can you advise, in the 'Procedural Fairness letter’ do the CIC inform you of the specific amount you need arrange for the next 5 years to overcome the Medical Inadmissibility ?
- Also please advise how is your experience with Bellissimo grp.
- And anything that can be done during the initial submission itself to avoid rejection.

Please keep us informed on the progress. Wish you best of luck with your application and hope it is successful.

Thanks in advance.

@NIKCAD @GBro Hi guys, I wanted to update you that we submitted the response to the PF letter in Nov 18 and received approval of PR in Jan this year. Bellissimo group did an excellent job in drafting the response. CIC does not ask for any amount for hte next 5 or so years. but the response talks about that and also similar cases in Canada that have happened in the past.
Good luck with your applications.

Cvaib Itwould be interesting to see how a response can change their minds. How much do the group charge out of interest?

Hi @cvaib , Very glad to know that your application was successful. Thanks for the response and wish you and your family all the best in Canada. I would be starting my process soon.

Thanks for the wishes everyone and I hope the best outcome for our case too. Let us keep this thread updated in case another law firm experience is received. Medical inadmissibility is a rare case and help is needed from all corners. I certainly benefited a lot from these forums and will continue to help if any one needs more.

Hi Cvaib,

Please can you advise , if you already had a job in Canada when you applied or you applied from your home country (

( also on a different note, incase you are looking for a neurologist, better schedule an appointment well in advance because it usually takes around 4-5 months to get an appointment.)

Regards.

I did not have a job in Canada when I applied and received my CoPR. I am based in USA.

Curious as the what kind of arguments they made. Normally the major argument is that the person is already working in Canada and has private insurance that covers all of the drug costs. Unfortunately MS is often a disease the leads to many years of disability and high medical needs so I am a bit puzzled about how everyone seems to be getting a positive result after their PF. Have seen other autoimmune and even cancer being approved that makes no sense even based on just drug costs.

@cvaib @canuck78 Hi, Thinking in terms of future - Does applying for Citizenship need medical test after you get a PR (will medical inadmissibility be a hurdle for citizenship after you get a PR)

No - it won't.
