AOR was in my email inbox first thing this morning!!! Such a relief as we initially applied in July and the application was returned the first time due to a missing signature on Schedule A. Next up, anxiously awaiting OWP!! I don't know how to update my signature, but our timeline is:
Application sent : 21 September
Application received: 24 September
AOR received: 18 October

Updating your signature is just in the drop down menu when you hover over your username - second option down is signature.

When I'm trying to create a CIC account, and/or link my application to my account; should I be creating an account as the sponsor, or do I need to create the account as the principal applicant? I don't know why the website is so confusing to me!

The myCIC account is for the PA, eCAS is for the Sponsor.

Not yet..just trying to be patient! Our eCAS only switched to In Progress 3 days ago.

Your post has been helpful I just received AOR. Here is my timeline
App sent sept 21
Rec’d on sept 24
AOR: October 18

It feels really good to get to this step since our application was returned twice. First time we missed the signature on Schedule A form. The second time it was my error for missing to answer one question.
Here is my advice: read and read again the Guide, it explains on details what they need for each question. Second when they return them make sure they did not updated forms: for example the checklist has been updated more than twice this year.

Yes, I believe it mean the application is complete for CIC to start the process.

I am trying to link my application. I logged-in in my husband's CIC account then placed the application number and all my details but it doesn't work. I tried five times and reached the limits for a day. Any suggestion?

September 21st, 2018 - Application Sent
September 24th, 2018 - Application delivered to Case Processing Centre in Mississauga.
October 18th, 2018 - Received AOR

That's great!
I also submitted my medical exams upfront.
In fact, I did the medical exams for a possibility of student visa in May this year, so I just forwarded with my application. I am not sure if that will be enough.
