How did you find your application number without receiving AOR??? That's amazing! I think we have just about the same timeline, so I'm wondering if the same thing is happening with my application....
Did it through MyCIC. Do you want me to give you the step-by-step instruction?

Hi Everyone, New to the forum.
Just starting our application package. My husband entered on a visitor visa from uk a week ago and we will apply for inland sponsorship with open work permit.
Has anyone done it this way? on the form for open work permit it seems it is a extension of an already obtained work permit? Also do you know how long it takes? Do they give the right to work before they start fully processing your PR etc. ???

Any advice is appreciated!

We have already done spousal sponsorship in UK but it was much quicker and simpler.

Yes please!!!!
First, go to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
Scroll down and click on Continue with GCKey
Sign in or Sign up and then Sign in with the Principal Applicants credentials (one who is being sponsored)
Click on Add (link) your application to your account
Select Category: Permanent Residence
Sub Category: Family Class (Spouses)
Select: Family Name, Given Name and Date of Birth
Family Name: Fill in the Principal Applicant's last name
Given Name: PA's first name
DOB: PA's
Select: Passport
Fill in all the details
Select the intended/current Province and City of the PA and Marital Status
Enter the number of family members as 2 if the PA has no dependent; otherwise, add 1 for each dependant on the application.

Good luck and let me know how it went.
Please note the instruction is for Inland Applicants only. For Outlanders, there will be a bit of a tweak to it.

Oops... almost forgot to mention the steps for the eCAS log in.
So after you retrieve your Application Number (1 letter and 9 digits) off of MyCIC, go to https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do
Agree with the TC and click Continue
Select: Application Number
Enter: Application number without any space
Enter the last name of the Sponsor, DOB and POB
Click Continue... Wollah!!! You got it!

Once you are in, click on the underlined status below the Sponsorship Application Status or Permanent Residence Application status to see more details

Mine was received on Sep 12 and eCAS says the process started yesterday on Oct 10. Maybe wait another day or two and try the steps again.

Hmmm... Interesting. We just received our AOR email like 5 minutes ago, and that's about an hour after we linked our application to our MyCIC. Maybe it helped it to expedite or maybe not... whichever it is... it's a great news! :)

To answer the question that has been previously asked but ignored by many: AOR email was sent from donotreply@cic.gc.ca <donotreply@cic.gc.ca>; Do Not Reply - Ne Pas Repondre <Client-update-mise-a-jour@cic.gc.ca>

Make sure you use the PA's GCKey and credentials. I used the Sponsor's first and maxed it out too and was successful with the PA's.
