Can i do the upfront medical exam for SOWP?Hi,
You said you are already eligibal to apply for SOWP. Therefore, at the end end of eligibility test on CIC website it will automatically generated the application forms what you needed to apply for SWOP. Apart from that you need to show supporting documents i.e;
Your spouse work permit,
College acceptance letter
Spouse's passport bio data page
Spouse's passport visa stamped pages
Your passport copy
Marriage certificate
Your birth certificate
Your educational certificate
Your and spouse bank statements( joint or other)
Proof of deed/ valuation report
Wedding photos
You and spouse communication history(Skype/email)
Your employment verification letter if you working
Your travel history
We showed around 7000CAD of my spouse's account plus proud of gift deed and valuation report.

i am gona apply sowp and visa for my daughter 6 yrs and she need to go school here and wife to work. pls let me know the fee details just wana clarify this is wat i got when i applied. this is correct.
so i mentioned my wife gona work in the questionnaire and the fee for her is 255
mentioned daughter is gona visit the fee is 100. for my daughter.
pls clarify the is my daughter can study in dependent visa or do i need to apply for study permit

I am new to this forum. I have few questions regarding Spousal Open Work Permit.
1. I hold a closed WP for Canada, I am planning to apply SOWP (My wife is in India currently) online. Is it mandatory to provide my payslip, because I do not have any payslips generated yet in Canada.
2. My Wife works in India, Does it mean before applying she will have to resign?
3. I want to process my daughter's Visitor visa Application too along with my wife? does it need 2 separate applications or they can be linked?
4. Finally, any medical test or Biometric required?
Please Help!!! Urgent!!! Thanks in advance.

erHi, I am trying to apply for the spouse open work permit as a spouse of an international post graduate student. I have done my eligibility check and applying onlin
But the required documents field is pretty confusing.It is only asking for three documents in addition to application form: a photo, copy of passport and medical check.
Now I am not sure what else should I add in the optional field(letter of explanation). Dont we need any marriage certificate or financial documents or at least my spouse's study permit?

Can some also tell if my husband has to stay in Canada for a specific period of time before i can apply for SOWP from India?

Hi everyone
My spouse had gone to Canada as a full time student this year. We had changed the marital status in the passport before she went. Although the address given in the passport for my wife and mine is different. Would that be a problem if I want to apply for dependent visa? Should I be concerned about it?

I am a swop temporary resident applicant.actually,there is no need to submit the medical in my case.but my friend’s wife is also an applicant like me,they asked medical and she submitted it.so,I decided to take medical and updated it in between the processing.

Based on your application and accompanying documentation that you have provided, I have carefully considered all information and I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and Regulations. Your application as requested is therefore refused. [X] As the spouse of a holder of a Post Graduate work permit, you have not provided sufficient evidence to prove that your spouse is employed in an occupation that falls within the National Occupation Classification Skill level of 0, A or B. You may be eligible to re-apply for a work permit if you are able to provide proof that your spouse is a skilled worker in Canada, which may include a letter from your spouse’s employer, stating his/her job title, duties, and salary. If you cannot prove that your spouse is in a skilled occupation, your application for a work permit cannot be approved without a Labour Market Impact Assessment from Employment and Social Development Canada.
I have an enquiry and hope that you can help
1) I am residing in India right now and my husband is working in canada with a valid work permit.
2) we have already applied in express entry under FSW category. Which has exceeded the 6 months limit on 11 jan 2019. Although it is on IP2.
3) Can we apply for open spouse work permit simultaneously with express entry. Can you please help us with the information.
