Will it be the same situation if let say... from PGWP.. converted to closed work permit (because as far as I know, those nomination that get from ontario job offer stream is eligible to apply for work permit) and let say now that the person is already in closed work permit and then suddenly lost the job while pr is ongoing? Can the person still apply for bowp?

@Fabiorf

Yes OP must maintain his condition of nomination while his PR is processing. So if he had got approved by OINP by providing a job offer then he must still have the job offer until the day he lands as PR.

Well to my personal experience, my brother had the same situation as OP, PNP gave him 45 days to find a new job offer and update his PNP nomination. He had already got his work permit for the current employer approved recently but he was let go at the job. Meaning he cannot work for any employer since his work permit was closed.

He told PNP and they said back to him since he got PNP based on a job offer, he must find a new job offer in 45 days before PNP will notify IRCC and cancel his PR application. So my brother found a new job offer within the 45 days and updated PNP and PNP gave him a new PNP certificate with work permit support letter
Wonderland,
Thank you very much for sharing your experience.

As I mentioned, my wife has been trying to update her PNP, but OINP just didn't answer the emails so far. I will tell her to keep trying.

No if your PNP is employment restricted, you cannot apply for a BOWP

So, does your brother needs to reapply for PR after getting another PNP for new employer ? or they just updated the information for both PNP and PR application ?
Just update PNP with new job offer and PNP will email a new PNP nomination certificate that lists the new job and update IRCC with it

Hi, does the new employer has to fill up new employer form? Or just the Job offer is enough?
Exactly same question, how this will work?, let say we got a new employer, what exactly we will need to submit to OINP?

When we applied PNP for the first time, we first of all have to wait for the stream to accept new applicants. Once that's is done we can create application and submit it with bunch of personal information, forms and documents.

Do we have to do the same steps again or we just call OINP and ask we have job offer from new employer and they will let us know how we can submit that ?

The employer form must be filled again. Same process as OINP must determine whether the new employer meets the employer requirements.

@sk0101

I would kindly ask you and whoever succeeds in contact OINP for job update instructions to post here how you did it and what instructions they provided.

I tried calling first, the OINP attendant told me to email because he didn't know the answer. I emailed OINP and got no answer so far.

Thanks

Yes, I called OINP in morning, first the lady said I don't the answer and asked me to call call back at 1PM. So I call back and explain my work permit story she didn't understand my whole situation first, then I told her that my PNP is already approved and PR is in process, and my medical is passed then she said that, this is something now IRCC will handle, as we have approved everything. She asked me to contact IRCC.

She was completely sounds like, that she don't know anything.

I would leave an email to them, explaining the whole scenario again.

Hi;
I have similar situation, so I am writing my question to here;
While I have 3 years Open WP, I applied OINP emoloyer job offer stream and got approval letter this week. So I can apply for PR to IRCC. I already have 3 years WP, so I don`t need to apply or extend my WP.

The PROBLEM; my company will close its Ontario office in Nov.2018, they will keep 5-10 employee in Ontario. My position/title has changed (still in the same NOC class with another title). I will work homeoffice.
Should I do anything for this situation? Can I still send my PR application to IRCC.

On approval paper it is written that 'restricted to employer" : Does it mean if I change my employer, will Ontario drop my nomination? I may have an offer soon from another employer with same NOC class.
I am confused about the situation and need help.

So far what we found is that OINP officers couldn't care less for what you do about your job after your nomination.

Your situation is quite the same as my wife. She applied to PR and then changed her job for reasons beyond her control. She informed OINP by email about her job change, so they can't say she is omitting the information. Nobody from OINP bothered replying her email so far. This is actually all you can do, and I´m sure there will be hundreds of applicants in the same situation in this "International Student - Employer job offer" stream, since nobody can guarantee that your first full-time job in Canada will last for at least 2 years until PR is approved.

There are 2 possible scenarios, considering OINP is so far ignoring job changes after nomination:

1 - IRCC won´t check again on your job, since OINP has done it already. This is probably what will happen to most of the cases.

2 - You are unlucky, and the IRCC officer decides to check again on your job. Then they will come to you, and you will explain to them that all these changes happened after your PNP approval and PR application. You show the email that you sent OINP to update your job situation, and hope for the best.

Contact OINP by phone and explain your situation. If you get any new information about actions to be taken please keep us posted.

I would say OINP would only drop your nomination if they realize you lied about something, or you no longer intend to settle in Ontario.

Thank you Fabiorf. It really helped me. I called the OINP and they told me to send changes by email to them.
I will let you know if I get any new information.
