Thank you for your guidance. I have a job but it's not related to what I want to study. Can it help?
In most cases YES if you can convince the VO on why you are going for the course and NO if you can't convince the VO. Only quite few numbers are successfully to go for a course outside their previous studies or related to their work experience or outside both by clearly convincing the VO why

I think, given you just concluded an online diploma, you should go for something that relates to it which will be quite convincing of your readiness to go back to school after 8yrs to the VO if you paint a clear picture for the understanding.

You can even state that you were already enrolled to the online program before you discovered that most employers don't pay much recognition to an online diploma in your country and you could not help than to just complete it but now, having tasted education once more after 8yrs, you felt and enjoyed the passion that motivated and drive you to pursue and acquire a certified degree within the confinement of a university or college.. just build your case convincingly when writing your statement of purpose(SOP) to the VO

Thank you. Your response is well appreciated. I graduated from my BBA in 2015 so not that long of a gap year. I’ve also been considering MSc in Management but was hesitant because writing a thesis is a nightmare but that’s something I might have to get past! However, I think it gives me a better chance than the MPA since I did research (thesis) for my BBA. I have a Qatar residency, sponsored by my father so hopefully that won’t cause any problems..

Another question if you don’t mind. I’ve been reading (a lot) about what VO’s consider when granting visas and thats ties to your home country. I’ve been living in Qatar for 16 years now with my family (half of them, rest are abroad). So does that query my ties to Qatar or Nigeria? Only ties I have here in Qatar is family..no properties or loans. However, my mom owns a school and properties in Nigeria. So which do I talk about? Sorry if its a silly question! I’m just trying to ready myself.
Given the 16yrs, have you visited Nigeria? You should show ties to were you have your family but the ties tied to properties will also be strength to your case too. Hence, your answer from a clear picture to my question will determine my opinion

Hello everyone,
In 28 August ,2018 I got an offer letter from Concordia University for MEng in Electrical & Computer Engineering for Jan 2019 intake.
I was born and raised in Bangladesh. But from Jan 22, 2018 I have lived in Qatar with my husband. In my SOP for visa I will write that I am going to come back in Qatar to my husband after my study in Canada.
My que is do I need to apply for visa from Bangladesh or Qatar?

I’ve gone home about 4-5 times. But I still have extended family there. I dont have any property in my name yet. Only my mom does. Can i attach it as an additional doc?

you can apply from Qatar if you have a status(study or work permit, or permanent residency) if not, apply from Bangladesh as you can show proper hometies

Has this 4-5times of recently and at how long the intervals?

Yes, you can add your mom's documents as an additional documents including her birth certificate and if possible a letter from her stating you are the sole heritance of it gives credit to your application. But if you have a permanent residency and a wife or children in Qatar, you can as well apply from there using them as hometies

The 4-5 are not recent. Last time I went was 2016. I could’ve gone last year but couldn’t as I was seriously job hunting in Qatar.

I’m female, 25 y/o and single. Ok, my mom can do that. But will it be considered misrepresentation? I have other siblings.
