A thought for you folks today:

If you look at immitracker, only about 2% of cases have historically been rejected. Even the official 2017 EOY report shows about 88% of applications submitted in 2017 were approved, and that's not counting applications that were submitted in 2017 but didn't finish processing until 2018. The chance of rejection is very small and the Canadian immigration system does its best to be flexible in cases where the potential of rejection arises. And even if you are rejected, you can apply again using their feedback to improve your application.

All this, and they also aim to process 80% of cases in 6 months or less (4 months or less in some categories). That's lightning fast for most countries.
Also, from what I've seen, most of the rejections are due to incomplete PCC.

Hi
I have a very critical query. Not found answer to this anywhere on the net . Actually my thought was that my file will be processed within 2 months of my file submission. So I created some fixed deposits for three months without their auto renewal.

But the irony is that I am still stuck in IP1.

The details of proof of funds that I shared were my savings account info,my husband savings account info along with some fixed deposit accounts.

Now the main problem is that my fixed deposits got matured and amount moved to my savings account. I have shared details of all these accounts. Will it cause any problem if the fixed deposits have been matured? Or i have to make amendments with my funds details?

Initially the wait and now this confusion. Guys, please help

My take would be that you initiate another FD. its simple and morose you should simply have instructed your bank to roll over.If you didn't do that, its not late, just ask your bank to initiate another term deposit for maybe 3 months.
No need to be scared cos once you do a new FD, the bank will issue you a new FD cert which you can upload just in case they ask for ADR for POF. Even if they call the bank, the new FD will be active and your bank will confirm. No cause for alarm.
But whoever told you a time frame you will get your PPR didn't do well. No-one knows how long it takes.Best bet is always to use savings or T.bills or FD of 6 months cos you can always liquidate once you have your PPR so money can be available to you.

After resisting for many days, I logged on to my CIC account (have been resisting as I know there won't be an update) ... and as expected there was no update. Now I'm feeling bad ... no update plus I broke my streak of not watching my account ... LOL...

I called CIC yesterday, the agent told me that my eligibility, medical and criminality has been passed and only security check is left. My question is, does your travel history affect the processing time.
I am an FSW-O applicant and have travelled to US and Peru in past. The wait is killing me.

Hello!

I just logged into myCIC account, my application shows "application/profile updated" but when I clicked in it there was no actual update- is this the "ghost update"? I haven't received an email regarding this yet.

Well, I think the travel history dose affect the processing time, since you have a simple one, just have patience.

Then i guess if for any reason they request ADR for POF , You present your savings account provided the balance reflects the minimum balance required (family size or single applicant).

I have another query. I have maintained the required funds throughout but the problem is CAD is getting stronger against INR and the funds I have, keep fluctuating. I called CIC and they told me that my eligibility, medical and criminality has passed

Question 1:
Does PoF come under eligibility check? Am I stressing out for no reason?

Question 2:
I had more than required funds when I filed my case and have maintained them throughout, but as the INR has gone down, there is a deficit of $200 CAD, do they contact the bank to check the current account balance?
