Hi guys,
Need some help here.
I got the AOR on june 7th 2018.
Medicals passed in June 21st 2018.
Since then the bg status shows that application in progress, we will let you know once we start your background check.
Is that normal since it’s been over 2 months and the bg hasn’t started.
Please suggest and I would also love to be a part of the whatsapp group.
I'm afraid. Yes, many similar cases.

My visa office is Montreal. And unfortunately we have very little information about this particular office. I know two more members with June AOR and two with April AOR. The worrying or unfortunate thing is all 5 of us have been given the same status from IRCC agents that our eligibility is under review. I would have been less worried if it were only June AORs with this status but one of the April AOR guy had ordered GCMS notes and did not see a single comment on his application beyond 2nd May. And we are yet to see a single example of a PPR issued from Montreal office. We do have a very small sample set but still 5 cases with similar status after 2/4 months doesn't give a lot of confidence.

But as you said I'm hoping they will still meet their 180 days SLA. I'm planning to order GCMS notes in first week of September to have a false sense of "doing something". Doing nothing and waiting is quite difficult to do, although I know that is what is probably needed.
I understand, yes gcms notes can give a better understanding of progress. Don’t worry, it will come through sooner than you think. All we can do is wait

Yes, mine moved to IP2 on 17th Aug.

Aor-12th June
If 12th June AOR move to IP2 on 17th August,
then 18th June AOR (ME) should move to IP2 on 23rd August..!! Really??

Alas, if only CIC worked based on this logic.. :(

But some indication that we can expect some movement in the next few weeks.. Thanks mate. :)

Oh ok. Was scared I skipped the section.
Hi,

I have had that status since june 28th. And have uploaded the biometric detail. But still those columns are blank. Did you see any difference to those columns after the details were uploaded.

AOR: 5th June
MEP/IP1: 18th June
VO: Ottawa
Since then no update.
Most of the people are stuck at ip1. They have really slowed down processing it seems. It was real quick a couple of months back. Just hoping they buckle up and shower pprs soon.

Don’t worry. It’s not the case only for June applicants. I have seen many people from March April and May also stuck at ip1.

Lets hope we all pass this stage soon.
