Hi friends,
I got email from IRCC. They invited me to the interview. It will be in 1st August 2018. I am very excited. If any one has been through this interview it would be really helpful to get an idea of what the interview would be like and any tips on preparing for it. Another hand I wanted to update my process timeline.

By the way thank you for all your responds and thoughts. I really appreciated it.
Hello @Dominico96 ,

How was the interview? Would you mind sharing your experience in detail?

Thanks,

PSAHR

Hello friends,

Thanks a lot for your wishes! The interview was very good. I passed from that section and took my medical exam. If I share my experience that I would like to say do not be so stressed or nervous. Keep calm and it will go its own way. The interviewer was very kind and friendly person. She asked me questions like: Where did I study, about my family composition, why I flee my home country, What will be in Canada after I go, have any support in there. Just know your story and be honest. Just tell the truth. I got very good dialog in there with officers. The people who works there, in Canadian Embassy in Ankara were very polite and friendly people. The interpreter was also friendly to me and to others too. I think It will be more fast after interview and medical that both of them passed. I am waiting forward to get travel documents.

PSAHR, my friend, just be patient and trust yourself. All will be okay. If you worth it you gonna got it! I think all we are worth it :) Be patient and try to meditate. It is helpful. As soon they will call you for interview!

Best wishes,

Domenico

Hi @Dominico96 glad to hear that you passed the interview

My application is very similar to yours, I applied in 2016 , I had my interview last March , and I passed the eligibility process , they told me I have to go through background check and then medical check

Are you done with background check .. or you step directly into the medical exam process and no requirement for background check?

Please reply as I am confused , and worry that it took long time

Hi fellows,

I'm in the same boat as you guys and need your help. We applied May 20, 2018 and July 21, 2018 we got an email that the application is complete and forwarded to Ottawa for further processing.

Can you please share your timeline in regards to the followings?

1- When did you receive acknowledgement of application received from Canada?

2- When did you receive sponsorship approval from Canada?

3- When did you hear for first time from Canadian Embassy outside of Canada?

Thank you in advance for sharing your timeline!

Can someone please respond to my inquiry ?

I am trying to understand how long it takes to get approval response from within the Canada since the time an application is being submitted.

I know it takes around 2 years. My question is about the time you submit the application and the sponsor group receives approval from inside Canada before the application is forwarded to a Canadian embassy outside of Canada. How does that step take?

Thanks,
