Hello everyone! Just an update, I decided to take my chances and flagpole at the Peace Arch border! My PGWP was issued for three years! I presented the officer with my passport, study permit, official transcripts (sealed), and my letter of completion (sealed). I applied online last week so I will withdrawing my application with CIC.
I know how terrible the waiting game is so for those of you that haven’t gotten your permits yet, hang in there! You will get it! Have faith! Good luck to all!

That is amazing! I live nearby the Peace Arch Border. I wish I had done this. How was your experience like? I have heard this is a total chance/luck method.

It was fairly easy. Altogether it was 2.5 hours round trip. Once arriving to Canadian border I walked over to the US and flagpoled. Walked back to the Canadian border and showed the officer my stamped passport. Then the officer handed me a slip and directed to go inside to a specific line. There was no long line as I went around 7ish. My interaction with the officer I had was short. The officer asked me a few questions such as what school did you go to, were you full time, what degree did you get, how many credits was your program... then the officer asked me to have a seat. After about 15 minutes or so my name was called and I paid for the permit !

Congrats Olivaresa87! May I ask if you have a US visa or if you are visa exempt?

Hello everyone, I have been granted 3 year PGWP. I remember in my application, I attached IMM5710 form to apply for TRV, also paid $100 but I still haven't heard anything from CIC regarding to the TRV.

I have a question regarding my PGWP and visa..
So I applied for my PGWP on May 16th and got it approved on July 11th. The physical copy should be here soon by next week.
I already have Visitor Visa too for Canada till 2024 that is when till my passport expires.
Do I still need a Temporary Resident Visa to leave Canada and come back?
Please let me know as I am planning to go home next month and I have no idea whether I would need TRV or not as I already have a visitor visa
