You can call on CIC Skype number and Skype
The agent will tell you details
Have you tried it? Do they give any further details than available on ivr? And how do we call using skype? I know it might sound stupid but how do we call using skype, By buying skype credits you mean?

"Background checks are now in process for your application. These checks are unlikely to be concluded for quite some time yet. Please be assured we will contact you again as soon as we are able to"

Any idea guys what does this response means. Dec 11 2017 AOR.
Sounds like security screening is ongoing for you. When was your Ip2 date? Did you receive any ADR so far?

It is not very clear response. However, based on what I understand, your case is going through background check process, and it may take some time to be concluded (completed).

Hello All,

I received an ITA in September 2017 under the Express Entry system (FSW-O) and I submitted my application in Dec 2017. I was issued ADR (FBI-PCC) on Dec 13, 2017 and I sent those docs on Dec 27th, 2017. I passed medicals also in December, 2017. Since Dec, 2017 my application is in review of eligibility stage itself.

Sometime in January I realized that I didn’t send my experience letter from my previous employer. So I sent that letter through IRCC website on Jan 15th, 2018 and received a conformation on Jan 24th, 2018 that they will forward it accordingly to the department.

I ordered GCMS notes on Mar 27th , 2018 and received on Apr 27th , 2018. From the summary notes of the primary review officer (on Dec 13th, 2017) he recommended additional/further review of my previous employer. As the documents I submitted (along with the application) doesn’t provide clear information regarding job duties etc; All that required information is in the experience letter (that I sent later in Jan). I called CIC earlier this month and they are saying they have no exact date when a review officer will get back to my case.

My question is has anyone faced/in similar situation?

How long does it take to review if they recommended additional review of application?

Regards,

Msrdy.

I personally haven't heard any situation like this, but I think agents that answers questions through the phone, don't have any control on application process at all. So, try to contact CIC through the web form rather than phone. Maybe you can get more clear response.

BTW, what is your background status?

Tried to contact via email as well, same response they are not sure when an officer will review my case.
BG status: We are processing your application. We will let you know when we start your BG check.

I have not received the PPR yet but yes my status changed once to UPDATED when the ADR was changed to being reviewed. Never after that. Its SUBMITTED always else wise.
Hey I am on IP1 applied in March 2018 OINP nomination case. Any idea that if you apply from Pakistan, is the process slower than usual?

Hiiii everyone!!
Since you guys have been an important part of my PR journey, just wanted to let you guys know that I completed my landing today on 13th June, 2018 at around 7 AM Toronto time.
Went pretty smooth as I was well prepared, thanks to this amazing forum.

Will be posting in detail about my landing experience in a while.
Need to get something to eat along with a cup of hot coffee...and enjoy this drizzle for now.

Best wishes! :)

Hi, your case looks similar to mine in a way. Even my file was reviewed due to roles and responsibilities letter.
See my timeline on immitracker to gauge an idea: https://myimmitracker.com/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application/cases/case-29631

My review was completed and PPR issued after almost 9 month since AOR. I know of a couple more cases who were reviewed at Ottawa and they received PPR around 8.5-9 months after AOR. I would suggest that you don't worry and just wait.
