C$10,000 (per family if traveling as a family). If you have in access of that, you have to declare at the immigration.

Suggest you to bring money you think will be enough for the first month or 2, open a bank account here and then transfer the rest from your home country to your bank account here

I believe the replies are not correct. There is a difference between how much money you need to have as settlement funds and how much money you can bring into the country without need for declaration.

For settlement fund; please check this link and it will tell you how much money you need to prove that you have at time of landing: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/proof-funds.html

As for the CAD10,000, you could bring in more than that with you but you have to declare it to the customs officer at point of entry.

Actually for paper based application the proof of funds require us to show CAD 10,000 and CAD 2,000 for each accompanying individual but for Express Entry we have to show CAD 12,475 and for each accompanying individual we need to add CAD 3,361 to it.
