I’m a recent graduate of a 2-year tech diploma in Manitoba and currently on a 3-year PGWP. I recently started a full-time tech job (37.5 hours/week) as a payroll employee through a consulting company and I’m assigned to a client company.
The contract is issued for 6 months at a time and may be renewed based on business needs, which I’ve been told is common in tech consulting.
I understand the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream requires 6 months of employment with a full-time long-term job offer.
If my contract is renewed after the first 6 months, would that generally satisfy the “long-term employment” requirement? Would an employment confirmation letter stating the role is ongoing normally be acceptable?
Has anyone here applied to MPNP with a renewable contract position in the tech industry?
