Applying for Supervisa within Canada

Abu Dhabi office has replied to the CSE inquiry finally. They said the file which they cancelled was because of the administrative error and will be re-opened with a new file number and the file needed to be withdrawn will also be withdrawn.
Now they have mentioned the new file number but I don't see it in mycic account. Does it appear in a few days or do I need to attach it to my account?

You're lucky they have issued a new file number pretty quickly. We've seen cases of administrative errors that have taken forever and a day to get resolved.

Give it a day or two for the system to indicate the new updates

I tried to link the application and it worked, I can see it in mycic account now but it doesn't show the documents which were submitted with the original application. From the email they sent, it seems they re-opened the application soon after they realized the error on their end. I am glad things are in order for now.

Hi folks.

My grandmother is in the process of applying for a Canadian supervisa. She is an indian citizen. However, she is currently vacationing in the UK under a standard visitor's visa. To my knowledge the supervisa application can be submitted online. However, I'm assuming that her application will be processed by the high commission in Delhi? Can she get her medical exam in the UK? Or does she have to be physically present in India for the purposes of the application?

I know if she were to apply for the supervisa in Canada after being granted a standard visitor's visa, she could only be eligible for a 2 year extension. Any insight?

If approved then I will request the local office responsible to process the application to allow us stamping in Ottawa and will also send email to Ottawa (CPC-Ottawa is the office) requesting the same.

Oh Okay. Also another question. My parents have been here for last five months. So my plan is once they are back in India, I will apply for Super Visa with in a week and get them plane ticket back to Canada (as they've valid visitor visa). I know many people have said it's better to wait for couple months but two of my siblings are here and it's really hard without mom's food So do you think my parents have a chance that their super visa will be approved. My dad owns a business back home and my mom used to be a teacher.

I believe this is based on current residence, her application will most likely be processed in the UK if she is residing there by the time she submits her application.
Medical examination is global, it is accepted by IRCC doesn't matter which panel physician from which country/city performed it but it has to be done by the IRCC recognized panel physician.

Her stay expires in first week of July and Visa expires in December this year.

She can apply to extend her stay on the TRV entry instead of going back home

Bryanna, yeah that's what I was thinking but we got extension for her last year (the reason was medical). So I wasn't sure if I can apply for extension this year and take the risk. And not sure what should i mention as the reason to be honest. Do you think I should try to extend her TRV?

Or I have another option If she travels to US for a week and comes back from Pearson. Would that be okay? or does she have to go to her home country before she can re-enter Canada?

That would mean her stay has been for 1.5 years, right? She should remain in her home country for at least 8-10 months to re-establish her home ties before you apply for a super visa.

Too risky. She could be either refused entry or else given a very limited stay. Extensions are a wiser option, but I wouldn't advise it in this case

No so her extension was until December 31st last year (Her stay was from january 2017 - December 2017). She went back in December and came back this year February.

Looks like my case is going smooth. Received medical request today while I already submitted pre-medical report with the application. Sent CSE Inquiry with the medical sheet again and advised them that the same was submitted already with the application.
I wonder why don't they look at the whole application. I know majority of the people with pre-medical get medical requests while application is being processed. Is it because the visa officers are too busy to look at the whole file or there could be different reason?
