Your answer should be 2, this form should be filled up the principal applicant. Therefore it could be your mom or your dad is the principal applicant and one of them is a dependent.
My scenario is exactly same, however, I thought we need to fill two IMM008 generic form...like by both parent as nobody is ideally dependent on anyone. Please confirm.

I have a question on Medical/police verification as well. At which stage we need to go for Medical checkup and police verification. It is at later stage or we need to submit the documents with all other forms.

Thanks!!

If the sponsor is a Canadian citizen but does not have a Canadian passport, can he just send a copy of his Canadian Citizenship certificate that he received during the oath ceremony? Or is it mandatory for the sponsor to apply for a Canadian passport and send the copy of his Canadian passport?

Is there anyone here who just sent a copy of his Canadian Citizenship certificate as a proof of his Canadian citizenship?

Thanks.

Hi, I have questions about imm5669 background/declaration form. I am sponsoring my parents.

In section 6 Personal History, my mom visited me on vacation before her retirement, during that time, she was still employed.

1. Do I need to write down this visit?

2. If I do, can i write down like this

2011/12-2012/01 Employment, Vacation, Visitor, my mom's working company, Vancouver, Canada

Because my mom's working company is not in Canada, she just came to Canada to visit me for about 2 months, is it OK to write like this.

3. After her retirement, how do I fill the Name of company, employer section. I can not leave it blank because it will not allow me to validate.

I don't know if anyone asked about this.

Thank you for your help.

Yes, you can provide the copy of both sides of Citizenship Certificate. In IMM 5771 (application checklist) you can find the multiple options for attaching a proof of citizenship with application and Citizenship Certificate is one of them.

1. Do I need to write down this visit? YES

2. If I do, can i write down like this

Just put:
2011/12-2012/01 Under Activity put: Other (drop down option)
Under Job/ Activity Title: Traveled to Canada Status in Country: Visitor
Name of company: Traveled to Vancouver, stayed at my Son's house

IRCC will understand that she was employed but traveled at that moment.

Just put Retired under Name of company, employer and make sure you do not leave address section empty though, put her home address in it.

(Dependant's Passport)
Hello All,
I have a problem with my younger brother's passport. We cant get a new valid passport due to his middle name's clerical error, we have to fix it first in the Philippines before we can get him one probably it will take 6 months or so.. What Im going to do? My deadline is nextmonth bfore May 25th. I need your advice & suggestion please. Im just worried that it might caused our PGP application denied or rejected.
Assuming that your brother is 22 year old, You should provide an explanation letter in this regard.

Dear IRCC Officer,

This is to explain that my younger brother's current passport has an error, it has a wrong middle name. My younger brother's age is ___ and he will be part of my parents immigration application as a dependent. A copy of current passport (with wrong middle name is provided). The current passport number is ________ ; The middle name in the current passport is ___________ but based on the birth certificate the correct middle name on passport should be __________

We have started the process of getting a new passport with correct middle name, in Philippines i could take up-to 6 months to get a new passport with correction. Meanwhile, In order to meet the PGP application deadline we are providing the current copy of passport. As soon as we have the renewed passport, we will provide IRCC office a copy of the new passport.

Meanwhile, kindly accept the application package for my parents immigration with the current passport of my younger brother. My brother's full name is ____________

Hi Guys,
What to do if my parents don't have a marriage certificate? They have been married for 35 years. Is any other document accepted other than marriage certificate?

Hi Folks! First, Congratulations to everyone who received invitation! :)

I have a questions regarding to a PHOTOCOPY OF my Birth Certificate and my parent's marriage certificate listed on the checklist.. Hope someone can shed some light on what I need...

Both documents listed are in Chinese. My understanding is that my parents need to get those translated (I live in Canada, they are in China). Also, I need to provide the certified true copies.

my questions:
1. So.. should the photocopy of those documents be "certified" first and then translated? or the other way round?
2. Check list says PHOTOCOPY of both after they are" translated and certified". Do I just send in a photocopy of "translated and certified" documents?

Hope my questions make sense...

Thank you all!
