So under section 10, page 1 of IMM 0008, there is a section that asks for your current country of residence and details about it. They ask the dates from and to when you lived in the country. I have been living in Canada as a temporary worker from March 15th 2017 until present. (My work permit expires March 13th 2019.) Would I put the 'to' day as the day I am filling out the application? The day my work permit expires? Etc?

Edit: Also, it asks for the date and place of my last entry into Canada. Technically I came in through Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport on March 15th of 2017. I went to flagpole at the Rainbow Bridge at Niagara falls to get my current work permit that I have right now after my prior year-long one expired. Technically as I was flagpoling, I did not leave Canada - would I put my initial entry via the airport as my last entry into Canada? Or the flagpole at Niagara Falls?

Put the date that your work permit expires.

It is actually considered to be leaving Canada when you flagpole, so I would put that date.

I don't provide any personal information and I am not an immigration consultant. I just spend a lot of time on the forum and researching immigration.

One more question -
For spousal inland application it asks fro your UCI number.
A friend of mine left it blank and when he was assigned a UCI number it turned out to be the same one that his wife got for her visitor application.

So the question is, should the UCI be written 'upfront' or wait for IRCC to decide and assign one.
Thanks!

If you know the UCI, you can put it in or leave it blank. Doesn't matter.
