To be fair it's not just December AORs that are waiting, there's a number of even older cases pending. Also, we have not yet crossed the 6 months average processing time, so technically there is no delay as far as IRCC is concerned.

It's just that the applications which got rapidly approved skews our expectations. We'll probably never know the reasoning as they don't really have anything in common for us to make an educated guess.
They did raise my expectations with all those PR's distributed for less than 30 days AOR. It's fine, I'm getting back to reality now.

You are right, we haven't crossed 6 months, so "it's all good".

Yeah, I die inside a little when I see those lightning fast PPRs but you know what, I'll call it a fair compromise if we get our PPR by April. Halfway through wouldn't be too bad at all.

On that hopeful note, I've also received my GCMS report. Here is a summary of the useful bits:

  • Generated on 1st of March
  • Primary Visa Office is still CPC-Ottawa
  • R10: OK
  • Medical: Passed
  • Criminality: Passed
  • Eligibility: Recommend Passed
  • Security: Not Started
  • Info Sharing: Complete
  • Last note is my email asking for a status update
Hope they've already started the Security by now.

Thanks sid8tive, hope you find more progress in your second report. Even better if you get PPR before then.

When did u apply for gcms?

Guys I'm freaked out! One December AOR got rejected cause they didn't submit the roles and responsibilities reference letter.

I'm beginning to imagine the worst cause mine is a similar case! :(
that might be for his main primary job for which he is claiming points for, for your jobs, how many jobs did you have in history and did you submit no jobs and responsibility at all?

I had two jobs for which I claimed points. For the old one I could get a proper director signed cic format letter. For the current job, since I could not discuss with my Mgr or HR, I could not get the roles and responsibilities letter. I submitted all other proofs for this current job, just the work reference letter is not as per Cic guidelines

Hello Guys,

I have a question to all the seniors out there.

IRCC states it takes an avg of 6 months to process an Express Entry application, is it 6 months from AOR or 6 months after we submit the requested documents (ADR)?

6 months from AOR

I have a similar situation as well. I could not get experience letter for one of the jobs for which I claimed points. The company got acquired by another company after I had left the company. I attached some documents to prove that I did this job, together with a letter of explanation. I ordered GCMS notes and from the notes, my application was recommended for review particularly because of this situation. It's likely yours is similarly under review and this may imply that our applications will take a longer time to process before a decision is made.
