My eCas shows tonight that they have sent a notice on March 7 to appear for citizenship test on March 29. I didn't receive anything by email though. Is it normal for test invites to be sent out with mail only?
Thank you!
Yes it is, I and many of my friends got only mail in Ottawa.

Hi everyone,

Happy to find this thread and see that things are moving along for most of us in Ottawa!

For those who had their test/interview, how long did the whole process take approximately? I have to plan for work, and my test is scheduled at 8:15am... Did you guys have to wait a long time between the test and the interview? I'm hoping to be done by 9:30am, not sure if it's realistic.

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

It seems optimistic to bet on that. You do have the advantage that you're part of the first group that day, so you won't have to wait for other groups to be interviewed. If you're lucky (no delays with check-in and test instructions) and you're one of the first to finish the test you may make it in that time frame, but that's not a given.

(I think that the second group arrives at 10:15, so starts their test at about 10:30, so starts getting interviewed by about 10:45-11:00.)

I already had the test and interview with the officer and she checked my passport and travel history, Although i did stay abroad for over 183 days within Europe but not all in one country so i did not need a police certificate from either countries but beacause Within Europe they don’t stamp your way out and in i had no written proof i just gave her the dates and she wrote them down and said next step is your oath ceremony. Do you have any thoughts about this?
Did the officer give you a timeline for receiving the oath letter? The officer told me that I should receive the oath letter in two months

Once they call in for the test, it hardly takes an hour to get out finishing test and interview - although it says 8.15am is your appointment, the test wont start immediately - so if you give another 30 minutes for all the preparation/waiting before test, you need 90 minutes to get in and out - thats based on my experience - hope that helps !

Good luck for your test !

Quick question about the test date. I got the invitation in the mail and I have to take my current and expired passports to the interview. There is no mention of translation in the notice but I have some stamps that are not in English. Does anyone here has a similar experience? Should I translate my passports? Thank you

It's been discussed a couple times before on the forum. Searching for "translations" or so will find you many of those discussions.

You may be fine without the translations.
You may also find that the officer wants those, in which case you'll be sent a notice to provide them, by mail.

The trade-off is thus time/money. If you're okay with potentially losing some time but saving some money then you can go without translations. If you don't want to risk incurring a delay then getting the translations done beforehand is the approach to take.

For the spreadsheet:
Documents received in Sydney, NS on Oct 23, 2017
AOR on Dec 1, 2017
IP on Jan 10, 2018
Invite on Jan 24, 2018
Test on Feb 21, 2018 (passed; CO said she'll approve my application, but security clearance is pending)
Hey, my situation seems similar to you. Passed test on March 1st, but officer told that security clearance is pending. Whats your status now? Do you know how much time this security clearance takes?
Good luck
