Hi There,

Please add me (), I have

Hi, Where do I se ethe Application status on site? Thank you
Don't mind all the letter abbreviation stuff - it sounds fancy but in reality it's just the same info you see in your CIC PR profile when you log in.

Hi, I got the following response to my Visa Office Query. Can someone enlighten if the application is at CPC-Ottawa, is it the same as Local Visa Office review? I am still at NA2 since 25 Jan 2018.

Does this mean my application has moved from CIO to CPC?

“Please note that your application is being processed at the Case Processing Centre in Ottawa as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.”
Unless you are trying to sue a specific CIC officer at a specific center, I don't see how knowing this info is relevant. It's like asking the garbage men to which landfill your trash will be going to.
Just be patient with the slow process, get comfortable with the 6 months.

Firstly, may I know what your purpose is on this forum? As far as I can see, there is no actual information that you are sharing. I do get your logic that 90% of information shared on this forum is based on experiences and has no legal value. But if you are that bothered by people asking questions, you can choose to ignore/log out. People like you serve no real purpose.

Moreover, it might help you to understand that there are many sufficiently intelligent people on this forum who have their own reasons for asking questions.

In my case, I am living in a country where the local VO is notorious for being slow. So if I get an understanding that my LVO will be CPC, it will mean faster processing. It might make me a bit more positive. But it doesn’t mean I will book my flight tickets for next month.

So again, keep your garbage examples to yourself. Thanks.

Soooo.... Pretty much no difference which office your case goes to, nothing in your power to change.
The reason why I am against all this excitement about VOs is that people call the CIC help desk in droves, wait in half hour queues just to find out some irrelevant information so they could make some conclusions based on assumptions from hearsay. You know who else is in those half hour queues? People with real issues where they actually need to contact CIC representatives. Believe me, getting to that information sooner is way more important than your lack of patience.

I do get your logic; even in your earlier posts. Even though one has to filter through superiority complex to understand that logic.

Agreed that it’s quite useless for people to over-speculate, over-worry or waste CIC resources. But you could probably try to get down from your high horse and understand that not everyone here is doing or going to do that. If you read a post about someone calling CIC and waiting 30 mins to ask a useless question, give your opinion. Even then, try to be less presuming. You are not helping anyone by giving out snarky responses.

Yes, you are right, I am a cold bitch, but at the same time, this is the internet, I don't know any of you and even if we all land in Toronto, it is statistically likely that I will not even meet you. So I would prefer that the hand-holding stays in the immediate family and not here in the form of "why is my status not changing?".

I know internet is an easy place to take out frustrations, but this forum is in general a pleasant place. You are sort of an exception, or so I hope. Let’s just agree to disagree. Best of luck for your application.

1. is there a trend for different processing times for different types of applicants like FSW, CEC etc.
2. who are getting PPR now for FSW application (the date of AOR)?

This tracker should help - https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application

For my specific situation (Indian in USA and FSW-Outland), the median wait time seems to be around 45-60 days. Of course, the average is much higher due to outliers but so far, my application progress has been somewhat consistent with most median cases in there.

Be careful to weed out cases with incorrect data and filter for your specific situation (nationality, residence, application type etc.,).

As per the CIC website:

"Since Express Entry is a new system and not enough applications have been received yet, processing times are not available but we have committed to process the majority of applications in six months or less."

That being said your application has only been in for six weeks. If you see don't see any movement at the six month mark then start enquiring. Some people had a wait for close to a year. I was anticipating a six month wait according to the website and I didn't start to get impatient after seeing people with PPR in two weeks. I am not blaming anyone as I know it is human to feel those emotions. Again exercise a little patience.
