The notes i got in sept 2017 said my file is still awaiting initial review , applied again got them in Nov 2017, it had few concerns about communication proof and why my rukhsati was not traditional ( i had nikkah n rukhsati from my house & reception valima next day with around 250 guests) they wanted to see divorce documents, provided them everything and explained why rukhsati was from home plus few more proofs as we are residing together on dec 1, now i have ordered notes again on Jan 15 and still waiting so im not sure about the reason for interview, cant contact MP as im not in Canada
Hmm, are you a Canadian citizen / PR, if yes you can contact your constituency (or riding as they like to call it here :) MP via email or phone call. You do have to provide an address to that area though.

Regarding GCMS notes I think you have enough information to start off, we dont even have such information in our GCMS, just try to address them in advance. How did you get married in Pakistan, was it arrange ? Have you visited Pak regularly in the past, try to gather as much proofs to show your marriage is geuine and update them.

still?! July applicants are getting PPR! Contact MP maybe?
I m July applicant too and contacted my MP. according to his Assistant, he said he phoned LVO and nothing has changed. No movement.
ANd he said total time is 12 months so its only 6 months. I indicated him well people are getting spousal immigration in just 6 months and Mississauga VO, NDVO, Manila VO and Nairoubi VO issusing Spousal Visas in 6 months and july applicants are getting spousal immigration. And he has nothing to say. Looks like nothing in his hands. I have ordered my notes as well expecting by end of Feb. So frustrating!!

Hang in there. Once they start processing it doesn't take long as long as everything is in order. Our Eligibility started on Nov 22 and we got an add. doc request next day and a month later PFL, and a month later now BGC in progress. If all is well with your file, it won't take them more than a few weeks to conclude your file. The wait is the worst I know! But hang in there :) it'll be over soon.

Congrads Kinza, I guess the additional proof helped yaaay
Thank you, it was a comprehensive document with yes lots of statements from my husband, myself and the lawyer. Does BGC in progress mean we will not be called for an interview? Our GCMS notes just said review required not interview recommended. Also is Eligibility concluded now that BGC is in progress?

khan .. my mp assistant said the same thing .. don't go by how people are randomly getting PPRs .. LVO is a 3rd party hired by federal govt to process cases .. they have no set way of doing things ..

keep ordering notes and stay on top of what they are asking. keep in touch with your mp .. and pray .. that's all we can do ..

I thought LVO is the Canadian High Commission in London England not a 3rd party. But yea until LVO starts processing the file not much can be done. The wait can be unbearable at times :(

my ecas updated yesterday with line: We started processing your application on January 23, 2018.

my ecas had changed to "in process" jan 15 and rcved transfer email to LVO on jan 17. does the above "we started processing..." mean that an officer at LVO has opened my file? just wondering why there is such a big gap between all 3 events?

No, it just means LVO has accepted your file and put it in queue to be reviewed by an officer. Now the real waiting begins my friend! All the best and hopefully it's not too long before they start to review it but it will be a few months at least.
