IQAS ECA Assessment

Good day everyone

I have just joined this forum and I hope you all will forgive me if I ask something which may have already been answered.

I have a Bachelor (honors) in Public Administration (3 year degree) from University of Karachi, followed by a 1 year Master of Public Administration. For those who have experience with and knowledge of IQAS, kindly share your opinion if I have a good chance (if any) of being evaluated as having a master's degree. If not, what is the most likely outcome and if I should try any other assessing body?

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that I have to send two sets of educational documents in envelopes, 1 envelope personally and the other after getting documents attested and sealed by the university.

Lastly, what is an acceptable proof for difference of names in educational documents and government issued ID?

I would say that you'd get equivalency to a 4-year bachelors degree in Canada irrespective of which assessing body you'd go.

You're right about sending two sets of educational documents.

Your names in the educational documents must be the same as on your passport at least.

Thanks for the quick response bro. Do you have any idea under what circumstances they award "two or more certificates/degrees" evaluation?

I've got my BS & MS attested by ICAS as equivalent to Canadian BS & MS. My BS was of 4-yrs, & my MS was of 2-yrs.

So guys. I started process of getting mya ECA from IQAS.
My documents were delivered on 8th of November 2017
University documents delivered on 9th of November 2017
Acknowledgement of documents from IQAS on 4th of January 2018
Now they say its a 12 week process. I hope i get my ECA asap.

Hi Everyone,

I'm little confused on some points listed below.

1. If I want to assess only university degree ,it is compulsory to attest Matric and intermediate or it's enough to attest degree/transcript from university?
2. Can i send the application form & credentials in a same envelope or send in separate courier?

3. If I have the attested copies of matric and intermediate from IBCC ,i will send it by myself along with other documents or it will be sent by Board itself?

Just out of curiosity, is there anyone here who only sent their 1 year Masters degree for evaluation and got it assessed as being equivalent to Canadian Masters?

I have applied through IQAS,

My Timeline is as below,

Got My Second Email in Exact One Month.

IQAS application reached IQAS: 17th OCT
University transcript reached IQAS: 24th OCT
1st IQAS acknowledgment email: 17th NOV
2nd IQAS acknowledgment email: 24th November <------------------ UPDATE
ECA email from IQAS: No Update
Hardcopy Of ECA: No Update

I don't how much time it will take now for soft copy will update my timeline when I get any updates from IQAS

I sent them the email and asked for the update and got below reply.

I sent my documents on 15 Oct 2017. Still didn't receive my ECA. I have done 4 Years Bachelors Degree Program followed by 1.5 Years Masters Degree. Eagerly waiting for my IQAS as its taking too long since Nov 2017

My wife's Masters Degree (2 years) is evaluated as Postgraduate diploma (one year) from WES. hope this helps
