Hello all! I see all of you have had your Citizenship Test completed by now, according to your Test Invite date! How did it go? Can you share your experiences with us please? Congratulations to all of you in advance! It must have been a super-awesome experience I guess!

Mine was fast though. From the start. You have to have ur Pr card ready and test letter. I dont know if they were officer though. But anyway. Before i enter in the office there are some guys waiting for you to check ur test letter and pr card then they will tell you to go to a room for the test. They will give you the answer sheet and pencil then later on the test folder. I dont know how many set of test though. Then if everyone are there already in the room. They will time your test for 30 minutes. U have to have 15 correct answers out of 20. For me The questions wasnt hard and wasnt easy. U really have to read the book. It took me 10 minutes to answer all the questions. After the test they will tell you to go to other room for the interview or verification of ur documents. Officer will call ur name and make sure u have ur documents ready. Pr card, drivers license, copr and passport. The officer that interview me had a lot of questions about me. Like job. Travels. Like where did i go. When is that. Why did i travel. Stuff like that. Then after the interview. He told me the score of my exam. He said that i passed and he showed me my answer sheet. Then he said that i have to wait for my oath letter (Via email) anytime soon but i think it will tAke long cause i just did my finger printing last friday. All in all. It took me until the end about less than an hour.

Guys question. I know if the parents apply for citizenship. The childs will be citizen too right. But What if the child did not meet the days req for citizenship. Is she/he will be citizen still?

I do not think it is automatic. The child perhaps should be a PR and should go through the physical presence requirement?

I believe the kids have to be PR but no need for physical presence requirement. I didn’t even have to fill a physical presence calculator for my kid.

Yes been tracking that but couldnt see much for Brampton so thought would just ask , hopefully its following the trend of 1-2 months after in process

Was the IELTS taken for immigration purposes ?
Is it general, and not academic ?
Did you score 4.0 or higher in speaking, and 4.5 or higher in listening ?

If the answers to those questions are Yes, then you can use your expired IELTS for citizenship.

2) "Within the last 4 years, if you spent 183 days or more in another country (other than Canada), you must provide a police certificate. You must provide a police certificate for each country where you spent 183 days or more. If you cannot get a police certificate, tell us why."

183 days need not be consecutive, if you made multiple trips to the same country, and the sum of those trips is 183 days or more, then you still need to provide a PCC.
