I would like to thank everyone who posted their concerns and even advices that would help us with our application. I even read all the comments from last 2010 and got tips from the people who applied for Canada.
I am a Filipina, my partner is now a permanent resident in Alberta who is also a filipina. Yes, we are a lesbian couple and been together for almost 5yrs now. We are on the process of submitting our application for sponsorship. We provided all the proof we could get from Facebook post, pictures, receipts Of all the money she sent here in the Philippines from 2013 until present, letters from our friends and family who were also our witnessed with our Holy union last June 2017, joint bank account, her phone call history, and of course our own letters stating that our relationship is geniune.
I have tried applying for tourist visa last year before she came back for a vacation, unfortunately I got denied due to lack of funds, no travel history and employment because I was with the company I am working now for 4months. We even included the result to our application to prove to IRCC that we did try.
We had our holy union in Cebu last year since this is our best shot to get approve. But still we are concern about these proofs since same sex marriage is never legal in our country.
Our problem is, we were never got the chance to stay in one toof together for more than a month since she has to go back to Canada to work. Will this affect our application? Is there any tips that you could give us to support our application? What are the things that we need to add as a proof to prove our relationship?
