Hi guys,

Is anyone been subject for quality assurance exercise?

I applied for citizenship last August, received a letter from the local immigration office stating that I was randomly selected for quality assurance. They asked for a RCMP fingerprint, a lot of documents including addresses with landlord letter if your a tenant, property tax bill if you owned a house, entry/exit from country of origin, t4 and ROEs for the past five years... etc

Is this normal?

Please share your experiences guys.

Thanks
I have got this request couple of weeks back, lots of information they have asked, not sure whether on suspect or really to improve "their" quality service. i am not happy, because it involves CAD 60+ to do the finger print and color copies of fully passport. I will not spend for that unless they pay it. Will submit b/w copies and all the information without const involved. if CIC is not integrated with other government systems, I am not here to spend money, I have already paid 630 as citizenship fees.

I would say do the FP, but rest yeah its too much. Just send whatever you got and won't cost you.

How to respond, what to submit, is of course an applicant's decision to make. A failure to make a reasonably responsive submission, however, has obvious risks, including termination of the application with no grant of citizenship, either as deemed abandoned or denied.

Question:

One of my friends applied for Citizenship in Oct, 2017 under 3/5 rule--> Got AOR in November --> IP on Dec 07 --> Received a letter yesterday from Sydney dated Dec 18 saying preliminary review on his file is complete & that his file has been sent to Program Support Unit for final review.

Does anybody know what all this is about and how his application might/would be delayed as a result? Any use applying for GCMS notes?

Hi, I also received this quality exercise letter. A question I have, do you really need to ask CBSA for your exit record? I found on government Canada website about "when not to ask for your travel history from CBSA and one of the cases is when you are applying for Canadian citizenship??? Anybody help me clarify this? Thanks!

Hi! My husband received this letter as well. In the required documents section, they are asking for:

-Confirmation of employment: letter describing each position held, date of hiring and WORK SCHEDULE.

With regards to WORK SCHEDULE, does this mean to indicate hours of work like 8am - 4pm OR are they asking for his TIMESHEET??

Because if they are asking for timesheet and the company can’t provide it, i’ll just have them write it on the letter with the reason why.

It needs to state it was full-time and also hours per week (e.g. 40 hours weekly). Just ask for an employment letter from your work place, these are the standard stuff they write in.

I hope you do not mind that I posted my responses in the topic titled:
"RQ versus Physical Presence Questionnaires, including CIT 0205"

I am no expert and, moreover, I doubt anyone yet knows just what IRCC is expecting applicants to provide.

Read the requests you received carefully and follow the instructions.

Go to linked topic for full post.
(Just trying to keep information about this process accessible in a single thread; probably a futile endeavor.)

Hi, I sent in my application in Oct 15th 2017, I have been randomly selected for the quality assurance exercise. The letter came when I had a series of things happening in my life including a traumatic experience so for some reason I did not realize I was required to do the finger printing within 30 days I thought all documentation was within 60 days...I miss-read the information. I realized it 5 days after it had passed 30 days and did the finger print same day and sent IRCC a mail with express delivery explaining my situation. I also have another issue as during that period my husband helped me do the photocopy of all the docs but when I was ready to work on them, I realized 2 pages where not in the doc which had the instruction for finger print. The 3 items listed to be done seemed complete ( 1. Bring certain documentation to RCMP 2. Get fingerprints taken electronically. ensure your file ref no is included on the fingerprint form -Then this was the last line on page 1 then no page 2 and 3 then page 4 started the third item 3. what happens next: etc )but am not sure if it was there mistake of omitting 2 pages as husband said he brought back all he went with to photocopy and he opened the staple pins so in essence I have Pg 1,4 and 5. Can any one help me with the content of pages 2 and 3 if it was actually misplaced during photocopy. I have already done the finger print though and I went with the copies I had and the RCMP officer asked me for a coloured copy with the address to send it but I did not have that but the page 4 however had my local IRCC address which was where she sent it to.

My sympathies for all that is happening. Especially for the traumatic experience. I hope you are managing and doing OK given all that is happening.

I am not clear about what is missing or what you are asking others to provide. But I will try to sort out what I know about this based on what SOME QAE recipients have received (there is no guarantee that everyone receives the same requests) and what you ask about.

I am trying, however, to collect this information, information related to the PPQ-QAE process, in a single thread, so I hope you do not mind that I post my complete responses in the topic titled:
"RQ versus Physical Presence Questionnaires, including CIT 0205"

So please see that topic for my more thorough response (it is late, and even though I tend to be more active during the late night, it may take me awhile to sort out what I can and offer what I can, so it may be a bit before my observations about this are accessible . . . plus, I need to look at some sources to help me formulate a response).

Must be FP.
When did it go in process and where?

Guys/Girls - If it is a RQ or QA assurance program, will ecas show the same status as below or will it be something different?

So far from what I've seen, RQ is not reflected on ECAS. Likely it is just an FP request, less likely a request for more information.
