CIPS Certification for SINP

Hello all,

For SINP 2713 NOC the certification is mandatory, can any one please suggest if we need to obtain the license before we submit the SINP application , I wanted to apply but have not been able to get the any of the below ,Can I apply these after submitting the SINP application and email the documents to them , or SINP will reject my application.

• Candidate Membership as an Associate Information Technology Professional (AITP); or,
• Certified Membership as an Information Systems Professional (I.S.P); or,
• Certified Membership as an Information Technology Certified Professional of Canada (ITCP).

Yes, CIPS accepts ECA from IQAS. In IQAS you have to apply for specialized assessment. And if you provide the previous file number, you don't have to send the documents again. Just download the form, fill up, scan and fax them using online free fax service websites.

Yes, CIPS accepts ECA from IQAS. In IQAS you have to apply for specialized assessment. And if you provide the previous file number, you don't have to send the documents again. Just download the form, fill up, scan and fax them using online free fax service websites.

Currently, IQAS takes 12-13 weeks to process after they send 2nd AOR. So it is approximately 15-16 weeks from you send all the documents.

I would be happy to share my application form but can't share right now as it is under review and I am not sure if I did it right. If someone who already got the certificate would share their form would really help (I found no one to show his application form)

Thanks Kotvir. I have saw that it will take 9-10 months to get.how to check the status of application and all pls update ur timelines to know hw much time frame will take generally.

I have Bachelor of Commerce (Hons in Accounts/Mathematics) passed in 2001, after that I am working in major IT firms in India and several other countries. Along with that I did Masters in Computer Science (2 years). Total 15 years of exp, plus PMP, plus IBM certified IT specialist, plus Microsoft IT certified specialist.
Questions:
1. Should I opt for education + exp route or only exp route ?
2. How much time does it takes to get the certification?
3. Can I apply under any PNP or Exp entry even if my CIPS is under process?
4. Do I need to apply for cips for different provinces separately by paying different fees for each province?
5. My understanding of application steps:
5a) Upgrade IQAS eca to specialised eca
5b) Give code of ethics exam
5c) Read CBOK in detail and fill out the word application form. (responsibilities and activities section are so small to be filled)
5d) Get reference letter from manager for last 24 months.

6) Can I submit my detailed resume too which shows more extensive experience?

Thanks for the help. I emailed them and they too suggested to go for EstablishedIT Prof route.
What is ADR ?
If I they grant me this certification, will I get extra points in CRS?
