Normally they never deny someone by letter, there is always an interview first. Should not be anything bad but get your rep to verify asap and keep us informed

when or how did you get the info about the interview? did it appear on your notes?

I log in to the ecas today and found an update but its giving me concerns. Line number 8 was added recently and i don't know what the letter says as it was sent two days ago. PR application still says In Progress.
I am freaking out.

BTW we found out about the interview through our MP. Their office emailed IRCC. On Dec. 1 MP's office told us that the officer there said that we were in queue for an interview. After that I emailed the VO to confirm. They sent us back an email saying that we were indeed in queue for an interview and that there is nothing more to do on our part at this time. That was it. There is not mention of this in our eCAS nor GCKey account. It still says that we don't need an interview. However, nothing has been updated on eCAS since May 26, which was to indicate we got AOR2. On GCKey account, nothing has been updated since March 3, which was when they sent us correspondence to submit schedule A etc.

Yes it could be, interview arrives about 30 prior to your date and you have like a week to confirm you will attend.

I just send them an email i don't think they will replay today, I will have to wait until Monday i think.

Unfortunately nothing yet... Not even the “accepted” status nor anything. His flight is this Thursday, and mine is on the Dec 30. He wants to go to the Embassy today in person, at least just to ask if they actually needed our passports or not... (because the email we received was kind of “weird”... with no UCI numbers, no address to send the pps, just his name and EE number). Besides, he wants to know if he should change the flights, or cancel the trip.

I honestly think that they will send him back (they are too busy!) But I least he will try.

The waiting is killing us!

I was going through some old posts from the "Spousal Sponsorship Interview Questionnaires, Experience, Preparations" thread and one applicant who got an interview had this line in his eCAS:

We sent you a letter on February 19, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. (INTERVIEW LETTER)

He indicated at the end that it was for his interview letter. This is pretty much the exactly the content of your line #8. So it may very well be that this letter is a request for your husband to attend an interview.

thank you, I sincerely hope is interview, i mean is not ideal but i am scared to receive bad news(rejection) so at this point an interview is good sign we are close to the end. I am with my husband now and i will be with him for few months so i will definitely attend with him. We'll see what's next. at least they contacted us before the holidays en before the year mark.

I would be happy if it is the interview letter because as you said, you should have a date for when this process is going to end.

We are just hoping that the VO send our passports back tomorrow, and my husband can take his flight on Thursday! It has been such a terrible waiting!

Ya same here, ours change last week to approved, not sure why it took them so long.
The passport tracking says its in transit! Hope it arrives tomorrow

I was approved way back in october but they didnt update our cgkey until Dec 12th....
i noticed the in transit today when i checked the tracking number
