We lost three f****** months because the initial request for the cert never came through and then we got a procedural fairness letter stating if we didn't submit in 30 days they would make a decision without it. Luckily we got it in. I really hope we all hear by Christmas.
How did they request it? I have a message hanging on our account that they need some additional docs and we never received anything. I am just worrying that their request is stuck somewhere. All my efforts to get through to them is in vain.

No idea. The whole thing is sketchy. They said they sent the request on July 19. We have lawyers who never linked our account. I was so pushy they finally linked first week of October and the procedural fairness letter was there, stating "We requested this July 19 and never heard back..."

Historically, our ecas has always been so accurate, so I freaked and lost it on the lawyers. I assumed they had missed the request/email.

But mysteriously, a few days after I mailed the cert to London, it was signed for...and ecas updated: We sent you correspondence on July 19.."

I don't think ecas was coincidentally 3 months late to update just days after the cert was signed for...I actually think there's a chance the VO never sent the initial request.

I see the discrepancies in the dates which they update on my CIC. The whole process is very frustrating.

I don't want to be this person because I know there's people waiting from 2016 but we're at just under 9m for a straightforward Irish outland application. Really did not think it would take this long. Husband on a visitor visa not able to work really starting to kill us.
i feel you -- i cant take mat leave because my husband is on a VV.... and we cannot afford to live on what the government will give me... we have been at a stall since July 2017... when the background check started

Yes I know what you mean....I dont mind waiting, BUT its hard not to get concerned when you see ppl applied even 2-3 month after you, get their PPRs...Seems they really have problems with processing ppl from January/February/March...
this is probably one of the most frustrating pieces of this process... makes you really wonder!!!

it is but its life!! we didnt plan on getting pregnant -- but timing wise, it definitely sucks. Ill be getting MAX on mat leave but it is LESS than 1 pay check from work... it sucks

did you order GCMS notes? All the requests sent by CIC must be indicated there....When I got my first set of notes I saw request for PCC and Schedule A which we NEVER got...

this to me is ALSO ridiculous... this should NOT be happening and then WE get penalized for THEIR glitches.

seems the only reliable source of requests is either direct email from VO or GCMS notes...

this really sucks.
makes me kinda glad that I didn't get pregnant before we submitted our app cox we wanted but just didn't happen.

never thought a lot of us would still be waiting by this time of the year.
and recently, our VO has not even consistent anymore.
some people from 2016 nov/dec are still waiting, while some from march and may 2017 got PPR last week.
makes me a little hopeful that anything can happen, however we already have our minds set for march 2018.

I encourage us all to hang in there.
