Does cic ALWAYS ask for police certificate from country you spent 6 months or more in? So far they have not requested for it.

They did for us, 4 months into the process after submitting two other certs

Is it difficult obtaining from a country you’re not a citizen of? How long does it usually take? The applicant studied in a different country for less than a year almost 9 years ago so obtaining a police certificate might not be that easy. Perhaps we should get on it right away.

my husband hadnt been for a decade. took a couple months. we had it in hand in case they asked.
