IQAS ECA Assessment

I got it separately. One around 15th Oct, and transcripts from Universities 25th Oct.

This means one month delay between receiving and acknowledging.

Do you have any plans to call them or email them?

Finally received ECA... even though evaluation was completed and signed on Sep 12, they emailed it on
Oct 4th.

Still, delighted and relieved .. now real game begins...

Going by you timeline, I can see that IQAS completed the evaluation within 18 days from AOR although ECA report was mailed much after. The same trend has been cited by few other forum members as well.

19 days have lapsed since I received AOR. Would it be feasible checking with them regarding ECA status and requesting if they can expedite the same?

In my case, there was a 9 day difference between AOR 1 and 2.

Nopes. Nothing yet. Some people say that the 9 weeks timeline of IQAS begins when they receive the application. Others say it's after 2nd email. If the first is true, I should get mine in first week December. If latter, then first week January.

Anyone planning to call them to check on status? Amazing that ICA may end up taking more time the actual PR process.

I noticed some of the posters got their ECA's pretty soon after getting their 2nd AOR. I am clinging on to that hope.

Hey,

Emailing them to inquire about processing status will be a futile effort before their processing time has lapsed. They usually take a week to respond and there is no way to expedite the process.

Best to remain patient, or if you want you can email them, but you'll get your ECA report when your report is in line for processing.

Can anyone confirm if IQAS evaluates a 1 year international foundation program at a university level to a 1 year post secondary certificate. WES did not evaluate that. so just wondering if IQAS would do it.

Don't worry, CRS will go down in first half of 2018 when they increase number of ITA.

i did but they just gave me general response. not specific to what i inquired about:

"IQAS assesses credentials obtained through formal academic education from accredited educational institutions and does not assess professional affiliations/certificates/qualifications.


For the ECA, generally the highest academic degree out of all the credentials (e.g. Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD) is evaluated, however, you may have multiple educational documents assessed under one application. If you have a completed post-secondary credential, in most cases you won’t need to submit secondary school credentials. Please include all of the educational documents you wish to have assessed on your application form and document checklist. To make a better informed decision on which credentials you want IQAS to assess and to understand how points are assigned for foreign credentials, you should refer to the Government of Canada website at: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp "

Hello people, I sent my BA degree to Iqas for evaluation last month and it's being worked upon. I would be finishing my Masters degree next march, can I send the document to Iqas for evaluation at no extra cost? Or would I start the process all over again?.

If you've already sent one application, you will have to send another one with separate fee.
