@MayAORWaiting

Yes, you can send them separately or change the Visa office.
You have to raise a CSE (Case Specific Enquiry) and ask them to re-route the passport requests to other local visa offices, depending on your location.

hey guys,

so my application got rejected. on the basis of this

I work for starbucks as a shift supervisor so i assume my NOC is 6311 which is food service supervisor. However I knew another supervisor applying through 6211 as retail supervisor. From what I'm getting is that I applied the wrong NOC ? Also the company does not provided job description. I had to pull it from the database and attached this with my Letter of Employment.

Hey, sorry to hear about your refusal.

I'd suggest you re-apply.

Your application was rejected because you didn't meet the following requirements:
  • 87.1 (1) For the purposes of subsection 12(2) of the Act, the Canadian experience class is prescribed as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada, their experience in Canada, and their intention to reside in a province other than the Province of Quebec.

  • (2) A foreign national is a member of the Canadian experience class if

  • (a) they have acquired in Canada, within the three years before the date on which their application for permanent residence is made, at least one year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent in part-time work experience, in one or more occupations that are listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix, exclusive of restricted occupations; and
    (b) during that period of employment they performed the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification;
    (c) during that period of employment they performed a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all of the essential duties;

    When you re-apply make sure you go through these 3 points and make sure you validate them.
    Also, regarding your Job Duties description, you CAN NOT attach them to the employment letter. It has to be ON the employment letter and signed by your supervisor.
    If you colleague got approved with another NOC but performed the same tasks as you did, then you should not panick, but just re-apply with the same NOC as he/she did.

    All the best!

Yes, you just have to raise a CSE https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx and ask them to re-route the ppr requests to you and your spouse separately, saying that he resides in the US (give his addess) and you live in Canada.
Then they most def will not change your ppr request, but will just send you an additional one for your husband with a PPR request to a local visa office in the city where he lives.

Hi Guys I am confused regarding my application after reading all of your comments.

My AOR (application submitted) was 1st May 2017.

Since then till today 19th September 2017 my application has been in the same state as below:

Application status:
We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.

Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.

Interview You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Biometrics: We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I am very worried that all of you guys get medical passed atleast within 2 months and I have received no notification yet and it has been almost 5 months now. Only change I have seen since August to September is that Background Check became to what it is above from being Not Applicable.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, maybe they haven't updated it yet, or a system glitch.

I've seen people get Medicals passed 2-3 days before PPR.

You can always call them and ask about it, but personally I don't think there is anything to worry about.

Sorry to hear that bro . What was your background check satus on ICAS before u got rejection status . I think the problem was that your job description was exactly copied from NOC . It took them 4 months to reject ur application ?
Yeah. I submitted my application on may 19, just got the news last thursday. M y background check was "background check in progress". I have no control on job description. I just grab it from the company's database :(

WOW. THEY DID NOT ASK FOR RCMP CHECK? medical status? so basically its job duties. There was a time when Cic pulled off food supervisor jobs from CAT B job NOC positions for CEC,FSW AND PNP because of overwhelming applications from this same job title. Your employer is suppose to write job duties in reference letter date and signed with company seal. Those job duties have to be approved by company supervisor, manager or any leadng authority and you cannot just attach them with Letter of employment.
The CIC may have verified the job duties with star bucks by calling the manager or supervisor.

@motobunny Feeling sorry for you my friend. I don't how far it is correct but I have few comments related to your case.
The job responsibilities you have mentioned are very confusing and also difficult to match any of the NOC available on the Statistics Canada website. It will be better you contact them https://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/reference/refcentre/index (speak to the agents or email)
to know where exactly (NOC) your job gets fit in. I personally believe as the job responsibilities were not mentioned in the employment letter that might have triggered the rejection. Secondly, next time when you ask for an employment reference letter from your employer and compulsorily add the following: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp
The following documents are mandatory for each work experience declared:
  • a reference or experience letter from the employer, which
    • should be an official document printed on company letterhead (must include the applicant’s name, the company’s contact information [address, telephone number, and email address], and the name, title, and signature of the immediate supervisor or personnel officer at the company),
    • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties, and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years]).
