Njam!!! :D

Interesting. I've never really read it that way, but as you point out the EE program is under economic class. Probably best not to give them a reason to refuse unnecessarily. It's our intention that she will not work, but who knows, she might get fed up looking after the kids and decide she wants her career back. She was an excellent IT PM and she could easily go back. So maybe we don't lie, but don't push the 'economic class' thing too far either.

I on the other hand could look after the kids and take them to Timmy's every day. That would be a great life! :D

I don't think LOE is necessary, CIC doesn't care who works and who doesn't. If you have enough money and pay their taxes, fees for services and public care you can live without ever working. That's my understanding. The only thing they care is not to fall on their backs and become case for social services.

Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum and it already feels amazing here. :) Thank you for everything you share here, guys.

I have a quick question:

I do not have full 1 year work experience yet. My work anniversary is on 10th of September, so literally less than a month to go.

So, the question is if I can apply under the Express Entry now and in case I get the ITA, send the documents after the 10th September? Or I have to wait till the 10th September and apply only after my 1 year work experience is 100% complete?

Your guidance would be so much appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help! :)

My opinion is that it's better to wait so you get full points for experience. Others, please state your opinions. :) Thanks!

The day you make profile, and enter the pool, I think that date is mentioned, u receive an email also for same. That answers your first question.
The applicant need to have minimum 3 years experience in the NOC applied. This has to be clarified I presume.
Why to play games , better wait for a few days and apply.
Less tensions, more productivity.
All the best.

Hello there,

First, welcome to our ROH and happy to see you here. Suggest you should be here to learn a lot from my friends. :)

And now, I give you an answer of CIC:

Can I complete an Express Entry profile before I have a year of work experience?
No, you should not complete an Express Entry profile in this case. If you do not have a full year of experience, the system will not find you eligible.

To meet the minimum criteria for the Express Entry pool, you must be eligible for at least one of the programs under Express Entry.

Hey Papa. How's your little champ? Sorry I forgot to ask his name. :)

Mmmmm, does feeding your kids TimBits everyday count as a potential case of social services?

What's this.? Let me google it. o_O

I may be hopeless at giving forums members immigration advice, but I can certainly give them Canadian culture advice!

@Karnesh google Tim Hortons and learn everything you can about it. Compulsory for the Citizen exam.

Everyone needs to know about Timmy's and the Hip. Now people, please don't tell me you haven't heard of the Hip?

if you are applying under the FSW catagory, you need atleast 1 year of work experience.

Since you dont meet the criteria till next month, i would suggest that you wait till then to create your EE profile.
However, you can start gathering your documents in the mean time.
