[/QUOTE]The only concern though is how you will provide reference letters for the last 1 year since she hasn't worked since then.

We are definitely having that drink when we land. We have way too much in common!![]()
407 with me, 408 with you. Who's got 409? Anybody?
She worked for the same place for 14 years before deciding to give up work and become a full time mum. I presume all she needs is a reference letter from her old employer to say that. Given it covers over 8 years out of the last 10 I am assuming that it will be all they need. The last 'gap' of 18 months shouldn't be a problem. We can cover that off in our letter of explanation.
I hope I'm correct here?
Thank you Andie. Finance is another really strong area of employment in Canada so signs are good for you also. If your tax advice is anywhere near as good as your immigration advice you'll have no issue finding the right job.

is there an yearly quota of ITAs to be issued? just wondering because almost 60K ITAs have already been issued.
You are absolutely right..!
I myself am jobless at the moment from last 1and half year with no plan to start one any time soon.
More over in EE maximum 3 year of foreign experience in past 10 years get you maximum marks.
I vote in favour of you switching PA and land soon and save the 1500 dollar for the Timmy's feast.![]()
@shaun75
I agree to the view that pa needn't work...I read Andie's reply too...
However,as the fsw EE program falls under economic class & is intended to allow working class to immigrate,the underlying basis /understanding would be that the primary applicant seek PR with an intent to pursue a career...that is why it is strictly based on specific list of NOCs etc...in such a scenario,explicitly stating the PA will remain a full time mum defeats the program objective & hence,the case officer may decline (may) saying the PAs intention is not fulfilling the program objective / and ask you to be the PA...
so,I suggest that you write an LoE & explain she wishes to take care of ur baby for some more time / till you settle down there and thereafter intends to scout for job...whether PA tries for a job or not is not a concern for cic once You are landed...u can stick to ur original plan of her staying back as a full time mum only...
so,this 18 months break also can be explained as a maternity break,rather than with a concrete plan for future...at least don't state it in ur letters..
If I am the case officer,I will find the PAs objective contradicts the program objective and being a very considerate person,I will politely decline asking you to reapply with you being the PA..

at least take a second opinion on this

My thoughts...
