Hello everyone,

My husband sent an email to the Embassy of Canada in Mexico MXICOIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

They reply saying that my application still in process and they will contact us in case they require additional information or documents.
how many of you received this type of answer?.

Hugs,

I have the two times i sent an email. Once end of May and second time two days ago. I wanted to request GCMs notes but my lawyer said absolutely NOT. Notes should only be requested if there is a problem with application or you were denied. Or else you create red flags. So I'm stuck with that generic email that doesn't say anything!

You can do as you wish. You dont need your lawyer to order notes. You need the pa signature on the form and yours. If you want to do it go for it

I don't think ordering GCMS notes will create red flags. They are handled by a department separate from the VO. I also think you should go for it. As this VO is so slow about getting anything done, ordering notes is a way of finding out information about what stage they are at with your app and helps you keep some sense of sanity through this process.

For sure. I love hearing the good news. We do forget and get caught up in the negative.
There must be a group for Dominican applicants?

Hi guys, I'm filling in my spousal sponsorship application. I was told that my wife needs to get her birth certificate and her family member birth certificate all translated and certified/ notarised in her country(Venezuela). I'm only sponsoring my wife and not her family. So is the rest of the family documents even needed? My wife's siblings all don't live in the same city. And that would be a hassle to get the actual copy of the document just to do the legal stuff. Hope this make sense let me know thanks.

I found this very confusing as well when I first started the papers. You only need the documents for your spouse, and if you were also sponsoring children etc.
