Oh!.. They stamped in passport? Is COPR is the letter that everyone will get after landing as Profiler mentioned?.. What is the process you underwent during an appointment?
Your friends are telling you that they would make a Passport Request (PPR). That's also outland process... but by all means @sylvain1 can you share?

I hope you are right, Id be so relieved.
No DM for you yet? Sorry, I thought you had gotten it and were waiting for landing letter like me. Crossing fingers you hear something soon.
That's a longtime ago! contact MP. For sure it. Just a matter of weeks for you to land. I would start planning the vacation lol

The stamp is really not common and as no legal value. They clearly told my wife it's just a souvenir for you. The CoPR letter will be handed to you at your landing appointment and it will be directly activated. As @profiler said, there is no need to go to the border and as he also said, it's recommended to avoid doing so.

Those that have to go to the border are from different programs, like skilled workers that applied from within Canada or also family class sponsorship but that applied using Outland route.

So don't stress with the stamp, most likely you won't get one as it has no legal value. And don't worry about the border, you will "land" in Canada at your landing appointment. That will be the equivalent as entering the country there, on site of the interview.

I emailed you a photo of that stamp.
I knew it!! I knew she needed one!!!

/sarcasm

All joking aside -- that's basically the same as an entry stamp. I am going to guess you are right here. There is no legal value..

Hi,

Anyone, can you please explain what does the below information meant? I received the below message in my CIC account. I don't know whether this is an interview request or an appointment for PR landing. @profiler : Do you have any idea?

""We are pleased to advise you that processing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in **** IRCC will contact you to arrange an appointment for the finalization of your permanent resident application. IMPORTANT: You and your family members, if any, will be required to present original identification document(s) to the Canada Immigration Centre at your appointment. A final decision concerning the granting of permanent residence status will be made at that time. If permanent residence is granted, the name that will appear on the confirmation of permanent resident document is your name as it appears on your passport or identity documents.

Passport / Travel Document The passport / travel document that we have on record for you bears the number *****.  If you are in possession of this passport / travel document, you must bring it with you to your appointment at the Canada Immigration Centre.  If this passport / travel document was seized by CBSA, it will be sent to the Canada Immigration Centre directly and will be returned to you at your appointment. Do not contact CBSA to retrieve it as it will not be released to you until your appointment at the Canada Immigration Centre.  If you are in possession of a new passport / travel document, you must contact this office immediately. ""
It looks like a DM letter

I forgot you got your DM on June 14.... Ya I'd be contacting the MP, as they are supposed to issue a landing letter by 8 weeks maximum.
so it should be 8 weeks max from June 14th, the time DM showed up in ecas? That made it 8 weeks on Aug 9th.
8 weeks from DM letter on July 26th, will be Sept 20th.
Hubby is away working till the 17th, so no contacting MP until then :(
Told ya, Im the one who "if it can go wrong it will", lol...btw, dont ever get behind me at a grocery store, Im sure to pick the slowest lane, lol

Hi everyone, i just got GCMS note today, i got AIP already. I see that my criminality passed , medical passed and valid until 2018 ( which i dont know how because i did it in may 2016) , only security is still processing . Does anyone know what that is?? Is it background check from my home country? And they said my application is in queued for review :(( , i think i sent my police check again in may which is why it delayed my application . It's almost 2 months now . Does anyone know how long security process?

Security screening is where the intelligence service looks into your history and your background to see if you have any ties to : subversion or destabilization of governments, terror, organized crime, crimes against humanity, war crimes, etc.

It can take time to process, as CIC asks CSIS (Canadian Intelligence) to take care of the report. They rely on other intelligence sources (NSA/CIA, MI6/GCHQ, Interpol, and all related sources in your country of origin). So, they can be delayed because of that. If your life isn't that interesting, then it will just take patience.
